After going through some bad winter weather, I took heart that my 'regional' groundhog, General Beuregard 'predicted' an early end to winter but right after the 'prediction' our area got hit by even WORSE winter weather THEN I found out that General Beuregard's actually a STUFFED critter. Yep, they actually paid someone to 'interpret' a stuffed critter's 'prediction'. Boo! At least Punxsatawn...... (read more comments)

One of the best in NASCAR history, though one could argue with the stupid Chase system that NASCAR implemented, that he has been screwed out of a couple titles (then again, one can say anyone could run a 36 race season differently than a 26 and 10 season)... (read more comments)

@bmovies...in case you don't know, several members of the site requested that I post comments from the old Jump The Shark site because they wanted to see them because they can't access the pages through the Wayback Machine anymore. If you don't like posts, you can ignore them. The moderators of the site clearly have no problem with me posting the content, so I don't see why it's such a big deal...... (read more comments)

It's hard for me to get into these Olympics when Putin is such a slimeball. I don't like Obama at all, but I'll give him credit for not going over there to support this guy. Also, the lack of infrastructure, the treatment of LGBT, the killing of stray dogs and the high price tag for little return ($51 billion!!!!) has sealed the deal in keeping me uninterested. Ice Hockey is the only sport of t...... (read more comments)

The 1st season of this show was about an aging family physician (Barnard Hughes), his wife, their daughter and son-in-law (John Harkins). Moosie Dryer played his grandson, with Mary Wickes as his nurse. Funny show in season one, good enough to be renewed. The 2nd season was a complete disaster. Everyone was written out. Doc's wife was killed off. The rest of his family apparently moved aw...... (read more comments)

I can be a bit of a conspiracy theorist at times and I really honestly think that 'Sam & Cat' was AG's little insurance policy if the new CD flopped. You know, CD flops, well there's always the show she could fall back on. It seems to me that when her music career started really getting some steam going, that's when we started hearing about trouble on the set. Just a theory.... (read more comments)

I have to agree with the large number of voters who have said they officially unboned with their new CD, A Different Kind of Truth. I bought it as soon as it was released and have listened to it enough now to realize that Van Halen is officially back. Not a single Dunkin Donut restaurant in my state knows how to change and clean coffee pots so the coffee tastes fresh throughout the day. I used to buy $2.50 a cup's worth of coffee from these places now and then and it usually tastes like piss. I've only ever recalled one time they've done it right just once. One of the few cases where a TV Show stayed strong until the very end. It started with fresh characters and an interesting dynamic in the first season, ended with a very memorable cliff-hanger the second season, became really strong for the third season. After this, the show became somewhat a mixed package, mostly because there are only so many ways to con someone, but it was still going strong...... (read more comments)

In the more distant past (the fifties and sixties), there were spectacular UFO visitation stories, and occasionally photographs of the UFO were taken. They were uniformly bad pictures - out of focus, etc., and no conclusions could be drawn from them as a result. It seems that cameras either weren't on hand to capture the best stuff, or weren't able to capture useful images owing to limitation...... (read more comments)

Chef Eddie Huang, who's autobiography the show is based on, was very disappointed at the generic sitcom style of the production. At first criticizing it, he recently has backed off and has gained assurances from the producers that Season 2 will be more faithful to his book and his own family's experiences. To be fair, the writing did get much better during the second half of the first season. T...... (read more comments)
