Bone The Fish - Most Recent Comments!

Who said you can't coin your own term? What is "Boning the Fish"? It's a moment. A defining moment when you know that your favorite TV Show, Celebrity, Movie Series or Music Group has reached its peak. That instant you know from now on...it's all downhill. Some call it a climax of sorts. We call it "Boning the fish". From that moment on things will simply never be the same.

Between her rant at Tom Selleck for starring in an NRA advertisement because they are pro-gun (and darn! Wouldn't you know it? She starred in KMart advertisements, and they SELL guns!), her hatred for American soldiers, and all the other stuff, I think I hear the Jaws theme song whenever she's on TV. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 23, 2009, 9:55 am

Everybody loves Raymond - TV Shows
Debra is a domineering and controlling woman towards her husband Raymond. She dislikes her mother-in-law Marie for being domineering and controlling towards her. That is ironic, yet funny. And you can't help but feel bad for poor Robert, who's always dealt a bad hand in life. It's hard to say when it jum-BONED! When it boned. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 23, 2009, 9:13 am

The people on Fox news are obnoxious? And I suppose the people on MSNBC aren't? If you want obnoxious, three words: Bill...freaking...Maher. Watch him, listen to him, and you'll see he takes the cake. Before you say I'm biased, no I'm not. He calls himself a libertarian. Also, it's good to hear that people pan MSNBC for being biased. IMDB - Websites
Im sure there are some innacuracies on IMDB but for the most part I appreciate being able to look up cast lists, actors and directors to see other works they are in, love the fan reviews and the discussion boards. HOWEVER, thre is something odd about that page, in 2007 when SYFY raped the classic Flash Gordon Franchise several of us who were ig FG fans went on to rip the show. Out of nowhere a group of angry show defenders showed up who "loved the show" despite having no fan presence on the web. Then the show got cancelled- all the "fans disappeared", then we ripped the show for a few more months, then the DVD was releaseed and all of our bad commentrs were deleted retroactively and a dozen new fans talking up the DVD showed up out of nowhere, and for 10 days all of our posts were delted, despite the content. After 10 days the second set of new fans went away and we could post again. Shady internet marketing at it's worsst and IMDB was helping with the censorship- for that, they bone. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on May 23, 2009, 4:52 am

This was one of the most annoying shows in the history of television. There was nothing funny about a bunch of middle-aged singles in New York City who made stupid observations. Marcus, what's your deal with IMDB? First, who cares if the exact date of Englebert Humperdink's marriage is correct? Second, I did EXTREMELY limited research that showed the year is right, and the date is probably right too, but it just doesn't matter. No one should be writing papers based on what's on IMDB anyway. It's like criticizing Wikipedia for having inaccurate info. It's just a place to go discuss movies, see reader reviews and maybe a plot synopsis to MAYBE help you decide to see a movie or not. You're going to need an exterminator for that bug up your butt. -- Submitted By: (Dropmurphy) on May 22, 2009, 8:01 pm

"I wonder why people who criticize Fox News for being biased towards the right don't criticize MSNBC for being biased towards the left." Who says I don't? I think all televised news, especially the dedicated news channels are garbage and biased. They're also way sensationalist, they jump the gun on unconfirmed stories, and are generally incompetent news sources. There's way too much crap going on on screen usually as well. What a train wreck. I turn on the TV, hoping to see one of my favorite Nintendo characters finally in his very own cartoon. Instead of a cute little guy who's tougher than he looks, I'm treated to Kirby starring as an idiot, jumping around cooing like a baby and going "Puyo!" over and over. The cartoon may be called "Kirby", but don't be fooled. It was about the people in that Cappy Town. Kirby was just some prop, not a character. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 21, 2009, 11:36 am

What good is IMDb?? Right now, it doesn't rock AT ALL! You know what, I'll give you a sample of how misleading IMDb can be. IMDb is the only site that says singer Engelbert Humperdinck married April 18, 1964. Where's the proof that this exact date is correct?! I don't see it. I hate to quote wikipedia on here, but this was too much to pass up- what an incredible BONE THE FISH MOMENT!!!.......... Cameron has stated he was once an atheist, but around age 17 or 18, during the height of his career on Growing Pains, he developed a belief in God, and became a Christian. After converting to Christianity, he began to insist that story lines be stripped of anything he thought too adult or racy in Growing Pains. Cameron grew distant from his castmates. He did not invite his castmates to his wedding, nor did he attend the weddings of Alan Thicke, Joanna Kerns and Tracey Gold, which took place in the mid-90s. He contends that he was not invited to Thicke's or Gold's, though Thicke insists that Cameron was invited. Toy Story - Movie Series
Perfect post, Chubby. Toy Story is the most dazzling and elaborately cut diamond in the world of CGI movies. Nowadays, CGI is done to death. People go, "Ugh! Not ANOTHER CGI Movie." But when it comes to Pixar, how the people's heads turn! In fact, the only movie I can think of that wasn't very good was Dinosaur. But A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Cars, Ratatouille, Wall-E...great movies. I wonder how the next movie, Up, will be. And, of course, how the 3rd Toy Story will be. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 20, 2009, 11:28 am

Toy Story - Movie Series
It's the grand-daddy of all of the CGI cartoons, and when you get down to it, TOY STORY is still the best of the lot. Most of the CGI kids cartoons are just garbage, but these two films (and soon to be a third) are heads and tails above the rest. Even the original from 1995 is better than most animated movies made years later. Thanks Buzz, Woody and Pixar- these are true classics, not a whiff of fish around these parts!......... Rather than using false/exaggerated information, put it in terms teenagers will care about. Don't make it about health for one thing... teenagers have always thought themselves invincible and these commercials won't convince them otherwise. Put it in terms of money saved by not smoking now that it's so expensive, then translate THAT into what the teenage demographic would like to purchase (Game Consoles, HDTV's, cell phones, etc.). Way more effective. Happy Days started out as such a great show...Then it degraded into the all-Fonzie prime-time 1/2 hour. People went nuts over this character & I still can't see why. King of the Hill - TV Shows
This show stopped being funny when people started just coming up with random, soulless situations, sticking "The usual suspects" in it, and making all the scripts "How would the characters react in this situation?"... They started being mostly lame around season 10, and now there are almost no consistantly entertaining episodes. Every episode is like a bland "King of the Hill fanfic", some of them inane, some of them ridiculously monumental, and unlike when stuff was inane or monumental before, it's all done in a horribly stiff, unnatural manner... -- Submitted By: (MrBriggsInc) on May 18, 2009, 7:01 pm

Denny's - Random Topics
OK, back when I was a fan of Tim Allen's, I saw "The Santa Clause" and in that movie epitomized when Denny's boned. Right before he bumps the legit Santa off the roof, Tim's character is stuck with his young son on Christmas Eve and the divorced dad is so unprepared that the only way he can think to feed the kid is to take him to Denny's! No surprise that the kid looked like he wanted to cry and who could blame him? It would be very hard for many people to think of a worse eatery for Christmas Eve dinner than Denny's! What truly amazed me was that Denny's let Disney use its name and materials throughout the entire scene instead of forcing Disney to change it to something unrecognizable ! It was as if they themselves knew that there was good reason why no one who had any other option would want to eat there on Christmas Eve and they didn't mind themselves being portrayed as the LOWEST point of a dad and kid's sucky Christmas Eve! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on May 18, 2009, 2:14 pm

SVN, Jafar was by far the best villain the show could ever have, and you seem biased when you say things like "it's old-school Disney." Look at the big picture for God's sake. Other than the ones Robert mentioned, and perhaps a few others, the rest were absolutely LAME. Once Disney killed Jafar, they ruined the Aladdin franchise. I think BTF has done it's very best to remain a-political, and It would be great if anyone opened up an Arlen Specter Topic! -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on May 17, 2009, 5:55 am

Lance Armstrong - Celebrities
Why would dating Ashley Olsen make him bone the fish. It's perfectly sensible if you think about it. He could put her on his bicycle and still race because there wouldn't be enough of a weight addition to affect anything. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on May 16, 2009, 7:42 pm

Rush Limbaugh - Celebrities
You guys need to take off your political glasses and look at Rush Limbaugh just as you would a TV show, or a rock group. Rush is paid millions of dollars to host a daily talk show. He is passionate about what he does and if you ever listen to his show, he treats his callers the way they treat him. Let's not make Bone The Fish another political site because we have too many of those already. You bone the fish if you run out of ideas and keep rehashing old tired ideas, or you compromise your principles for whatever you think will win you more popularity. Arlen Specter boned the fish when he switched parties because he knew he was getting his butt kicked if he ran again as a Republican for Senator. He compromised his principles and abandoned everything he stood for by doing what's in his interest as opposed to the interests of the citizens he's supposed to be representing. Arlen boned, Rush has not. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on May 16, 2009, 7:24 pm

Bill O'Reilly - Celebrities
Let's not make this another political site. We have enough of those already. Take out the conservative vs. liberal, the Republican vs. Democrat and what's left? The style of the show, the content, the presentation, the guests, the topics. I watch Bill O'Reilly and I watch Countdown with Keith Olberman. These two shows are polar opposites but I like the passion that both of these individuals bring. Neither one has boned the fish because they believe so deeply in what they do and they haven't changed their format to try to win over viewers. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on May 16, 2009, 7:11 pm

Hotels - Random Topics
I never expected to see hotels as a topic. I currently work at the front desk of a local hotel and I'll throw out a couple of tips for my bone the fish buds. First, the people at the hotels, just like any service job, are people. They don't like to be yelled at or talked down to. Be nice to us and we'll be nice back, and maybe we'll throw in something extra like a small discount or something for free. If you yell or ridicule us of course we'll do the minimum for you. If you go to our website and check the prices, call the desk as well to see if the price is the same or better. Don't just assume online is the same or better because it can be different. Don't assume a travel agency or expedia is cheaper because they may not be. When you book with something like expedia they guarantee you a rate, then they send us an e-mail with the rate they gave you and we MUST give you that rate. I can tell you that I've had to adjust more rates UP than DOWN to match the guaranteed rate. I've seen people pay nearly $100 more for two nights because they went with a travel website and never called us. If you are driving in and you call for directions and I give them to you, don't argue with me. I think I know where I work. I drive here at least 5 times a week. I live here in the town I work in. I know my way around. I don't care what your precious GPS is telling you. One last tip. I do get busy checking people in and out and I may not have time to check availability and answer questions at that moment, but I will jot down your name and number and I will return your call, I promise. If you call and I tell you this, don't insist that I help you right now. I'll put you on hold for probably longer than you want to hold. I simply want to be able to call you back and have the time to help you get what you want. It's hard to do that properly when I have a lobby full of people breathing down my neck trying to check in, or out. Just a few nice tips for all you BTF fans out there. Hotels rock if you let them. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on May 16, 2009, 6:57 pm

Prison Break - TV Shows
I really liked Prison Break until just before the hiatus of Season 4, when agent Self turned on the team right outta the blue. Everyone in the show that the main characters team up with turn out to be evil and the cycle repeats. I got tired of it and stopped recording/watching. Although, I did just check out the finale, at least there was some closure in the end. -- Submitted By: (steelprime) on May 15, 2009, 8:46 pm
