Bone The Fish - Most Recent Comments!

Who said you can't coin your own term? What is "Boning the Fish"? It's a moment. A defining moment when you know that your favorite TV Show, Celebrity, Movie Series or Music Group has reached its peak. That instant you know from now on...it's all downhill. Some call it a climax of sorts. We call it "Boning the fish". From that moment on things will simply never be the same.

I agree with everything said below me. The commercials are pandering, and just stupid. The slogans don't even make sense anymore: "It's who I am and what I do?" What the hell does that have to do with fast food. My least favorite one is the one where the stupid looking black girl does karate during the commercial, as though McDonalds helps her get through karate practice. Anyone who actually does anything requiring physical fitness knows that that is a lie, eat anything from McDonalds, and you'll be too busy taking a dump to do any strenuous physical activity. Boned the fish...then put it on the menu. -- Submitted By: (castaghast) on May 9, 2009, 12:07 pm

Never boned? NEVER BONED? You gotta be kidding me! It boned beyond all reason! There are more bad episodes than good ones because it didn't cancel for over 10 years! Stop watching the new episodes. Buy yourself the DVD sets. You'll notice there's a huge difference...the episodes from the past are actually much, much better than they are now! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 9, 2009, 11:52 am

King of the Hill - TV Shows
When Lucky became a regular, it had a chance to bone back by losing him. But when Luanne got pregnant out of wedlock and Lucky was forced to marry her, it clinched his place as a permanent member. Then they kill off Cotton in the most idiotic way possible, and we finally meet Luanne's dad...who goes from the victim of domestic abuse to a criminal who winds up getting locked up for life under the three strikes law. Many shows prove that you can still bone the fish after it's been boned already. Unfortunatly, KotH jumped on that bandwagon. What a shame. I'm glad to hear it's going to cancel, since it needs to be put out of its misery (like the Simpsons. Look what happened because they insisted on continuing!). If they didn't cancel, they would make more bad episodes: maybe killing off Dale or Bill or Boomhauer, or Bobby getting Connie pregnant. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 9, 2009, 11:39 am

Avatar: The Last Airbender - TV Shows
I thought Avatar was awesome. There were some episodes on there that weren't really needed though. Especially Season 3, which had a lot of filler episodes that wouldn't have done anything to mess up the main story line had they been taken out. -- Submitted By: (McT) on May 9, 2009, 7:54 am

Marcus, how is Kazaam a rip off of Space Jam? The only way they're similar is that they feature a popular and successful NBA player (In Space Jam's case several of them). And Kazaam came out around 4 months before Space Jam. But that Kazaam movie cememted the fact that he Boned The Fish though. -- Submitted By: (McT) on May 9, 2009, 7:45 am

What does the world being full of stupid ignorant people that are out of shape have to do with anything about gaming? There were still a lot of people in the world that were ignorant and out of shape back when the NES and SNES were out. And what I said about new generations of gaming wasn't an opinion. It was fact. If technology didn't advance, then there wouldn't be any 8-bit or 16-bit video games. Hell, there wouldn't be any video games in particular. Technology has to advance whether you think it should or not. I agree somewhat on what you said, because it's messed up how quickly it does advances though. You could have you hands on something that's considered the best thing, and then as little as 2 years later something else pops up and makes the thing you first bought obsolete. Personally, I like how video games have advanced from being simplistic looking with limited functions in gameplay like Pong, to being absolutely gorgeous and realistic looking with pretty much absolute freedom like Grand Theft Auto IV or Mass Effect. If I were you two, I'd go on eBay and try to buy the old consoles and games again, or use emulators and roms and play all of the classics right on the computer. -- Submitted By: (McT) on May 9, 2009, 7:32 am

Don Imus - Celebrities
By the way Robert- i do agree with you, the amount of vitriol directed at Imus from the Black community was laughable, since what the hip/hop rap industry makes is about 1000x more offensive and vile, and they are regarded as heros, but Imus is bad because he called some black girls Nappy Headed Ho's? It was just another chance for Al Sharpton and Jess Jackson to grandstand. I liked how the one BB players for Rutgers filed a 100m dollar lawsuit or some such nonsense for being degraded....all this was was hypocrites pretending to be offened for $$$ and attention. All that said, Imus still sucks as a broadcaster- hard. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on May 8, 2009, 1:47 pm

Pac-Man - TV Shows
You can't make a hit cartoon series of something that's supposed to be an arcade game only. However, the guys behind some of the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons and the Super Mario Bros. Super Show did a pretty good job. Nevertheless, Pac-Man is great as an arcade/video game only, 'cause it simply can't work as an animated series. -- Submitted By: (Marcus) on May 8, 2009, 7:49 am

I believe in advertisements for Kazaam, the boy, Max Connor is supposed to get unlimited wishes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this would have made the movie very interesting. But instead, it's the same old measly three wishes! At least in The Fairly OddParents, Timmy Turner gets unlimited wishes from Cosmo, Wanda, and later, Poof. But Kazaam seemed like a good thing, then turned disaster. Now it is at most like a ripoff of Space Jam, the movie starring Michael Jordan as himself. Those are the only good villains from the TV show that I can think of right now. If I remember correctly, many of the TV show's villains were not cool. Amin Damoolah? Ayam Aghoul? I have every season up to season 8 on DVD. I feel season 9 is when they just stopped caring. Skinner was an impostor, All Singing All Dancing was just a clip show where they did nothing but sing and remember clips in which they sang (What great writing!), male Simpsons turn out to inherit being stupid (Even though Herb Powell was a very intelligent man), and the garbage episode was...well, garbage! I really can't name an episode I liked from that season. I don't want season 9 on DVD. If I got it as a gift, it's likely that I'd never watch it. And I've seen someone else's boxed set of season 11. Jon and Kate Plus 8 - TV Shows
I vote Day One! This couple seemed to greedily accept the offer of their tiny children being on a 'reality show' almost as soon as they bore the sextuplets. I tried watching a few times but they soon revealed that they were willing to leave NOTHING private for their children when they actually showed them toilet training. TMI, folks! Would anyone like it had our parents broadcast those times in our lives for the whole world to see? Don't think so! That was IT for me! No surprise those kids are often hyper and bratty with camera crews living in their house almost 24/7 -not to mention their mother often shown being rather high-strung and domineering towards them and their whiny father. Neither parent now seems to attempt to earn any income besides what the show, speaking engagements, articles and books are paying them. Yep, virtually every dime they make seems connected to exploiting young children who were too young to have even been asked if they'd wanted that! So, now the parents are upset that the media has revealed that their OWN private lives may not be as picture picture as they want to present. I don't know if the claims of Jon's boozing and cheating are true and I don't CARE. But after several years of exploiting their children's privacy for financial gain, they shouldn't act surprised that other folks are now trying to exploit THEIRS! Cry a river on someone else's shoulder, folks! I only hope the damage done to those children by all this can be overcome. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on May 7, 2009, 9:57 am

I've never understood why folks like Sean Penn don't leave the USA and move to places like Cuba, Venezuela etc. It's my same gripe with hypocrites like "Rage Against the Machine" if it is SO bad in the ole' USA, then go live in your socialist utopia's- Oh wait, you might get shot there for speaking out of turn...oops -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on May 6, 2009, 1:59 pm

Sean Penn - Celebrities
Sean Penn criticises Bush for his "deconstruction of civil liberties" and calls Bush, Cheney, and Rice "villainously and criminally obscene". I wonder how come Penn doesn't mind Hugo Chavez's deconstruction of civil liberties and his being villainously and criminally obscene. Or why Penn's big mouth is sealed shut when it comes to Osama Bin Laden's and Saddam Hussein's oppressive ways and the fact that they too are villainously and criminally obscene. Why is it that Penn can overlook Chavez and all his little tyrannical friends taking people's freedoms away, but can't do the same for Bush? Because the USA (unlike the countries ruled by Penn's tyrant friends) is a free country, anyone can bash Bush all they want. But admiring dictators even though they have done the same thing you despise Bush over is hypocrisy. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 6, 2009, 1:54 pm

Barack Obama II - Celebrities
His mantra during his campaign was "Change". But the more things change, the more they stay the same. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 6, 2009, 1:29 pm

Barack Obama II - Celebrities
The media love affair with this President is really just outrageous. I was laughing the other day when I saw this was being published.......http://www.newsarama.com/comics/030931-DDP-Obama.html........ Really? Barack the Barbarian? After being in office 100 days, the over the top praise for no accomplishments shows the pure liberal bias in the media- which was obviously present and even lampooned during the election. Stop the Love Fest already. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on May 6, 2009, 12:56 pm

Swine Flu - Random Topics
Truth be told, I'm not scared of it. At all. This is merely another strain of flu in addition to the thousands of strains of flu out there already. 400 cases and only 1 death in the US? Overhyped beyond all reason! Compare that to the tainted peanut butter which killed more people than that and faded very quickly from the news. Of course, I'm still going to wash my hands and cover my mouth when I sneeze. It's hygiene. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 6, 2009, 12:36 pm

Erik Per Sullivan - Celebrities
In addition to playing as Dewey in Malcolm in the Middle, Erik also provided the voice of Mino the mole on Arthur and the Invisibles. Or Arthur and the Minimoys, depending on where you're from. He sounded a lot different there than he does on MitM. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 6, 2009, 12:26 pm

Beavis and Butthead - TV Shows
This show was cool. Then they cleaned it up after that kid caused a fire. And, once again, because of irresponsible parents, we viewers are the ones who pay for their stupidity. In the words of Butthead: That sucks, huh huh. And in the words of Beavis: Yeah, heh heh. That sucks. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 6, 2009, 12:19 pm

SpongeBob SquarePants - TV Shows
It's not as good as it used to be. Compare to classics as the episode where Spongebob befriends Plankton: Spongebob explains "Fun" to Plankton with a song, then Plankton sings his own eviller version: "F is for fire, burning brightly, U is for Uranium...BOMBS! N is for NO SURVIVORS!" -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 6, 2009, 11:45 am

Paris Hilton - Celebrities
Why, why, WHY is she a celebrity? She's got nothing to her. NOTHING! The South Park episode summed her up perfectly. Stupid Spoiled Whore. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 6, 2009, 11:39 am

Batman (1966) - TV Shows
I am compelled by my beliefs to give a dissenting argument against the consensus. Batman was a very good show, but it did have its faults. 1. It was too kid-friendly and didn't portray the true character of Batman and Robin. They fit the definition of vigilantes, and Batman wears body armor! Do you see body armor on Batman in the '60s TV series. 2. They came out with too many original, lame villains, most of whom never made it to the comics for obvious reasons. Burn in hell, William Dozier! I'm just kidding. C'mon guys, have a sense of humor! -- Submitted By: (Marcus) on May 6, 2009, 11:32 am

Father of the Pride - TV Shows
What could have been a funny sitcom was instead turned into a disgusting crass-com which full of stupid and disgusting sex humor. Sex jokes can be funny, but it was anything but when it came to Father of the Pride. And as for Snack the gopher, anyone else notice how he looks a lot like Timon from the Lion King? -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 6, 2009, 11:25 am

Nintendo Wii - Random Topics
I respect your opinion, McT. But I still disagree. Not everything needs to modernize. Progressiveness, in the case of video games, is not always good. The new games are so terrible, they make Armadillo (a 1991 game published by IGS) look like Super Mario Bros. in comparison! Screw these suck-ass new systems. What needs to modernize is space travel. We have to eventually be able to move faster than the speed of light, believe it or not, or Earth may not survive in the next few billion years. -- Submitted By: (Marcus) on May 6, 2009, 11:22 am

Cartoon Network - Random Topics
Remember the days when Cartoon Network used to be a network where you could watch old cartoons from your childhood (and that of your parents if they were young in the 70's)? They added a few of their own cartoons, some of which were actually good (like the awesome Dexter's Laboratory). Then, it was NOTHING BUT their own cartoons (most of which suck now) and no classic cartoons. Bone one. And live action shows? Bone two. It's CARTOON network, Mr. big CEO of CN! What will be bone three? Hope we don't find out. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 6, 2009, 11:15 am

SpongeBob SquarePants - TV Shows
Hillenburg is no longer the head honcho for SpongeBob SquarePants. There should be a way to edit the reasons here. The title of distinction now belongs to Derek Drymon. -- Submitted By: (Marcus) on May 6, 2009, 11:12 am
