Bone The Fish - Most Recent Comments!

Who said you can't coin your own term? What is "Boning the Fish"? It's a moment. A defining moment when you know that your favorite TV Show, Celebrity, Movie Series or Music Group has reached its peak. That instant you know from now on...it's all downhill. Some call it a climax of sorts. We call it "Boning the fish". From that moment on things will simply never be the same.

lrbloom- I dont think you should go to Cuba, I think RATM and MM should go to Cuba- they HATE america and capitalism!! Go to the socialist paradise of Cuba!!! And they DO have the freedom to look like idiots and stay in the country that they think is evil. And we have the freedom to point out they are hypocrites that dont have the balls to actually act out on their alleged beliefs. One more thing about MM- if he had any balls, he would expose $cientology in a documentary, but he won't because they would come after him full tilt- it's easier to bash George Bush and Insurance companies. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on January 20, 2011, 1:36 pm

Barack Obama II - Celebrities
It's ridiculous how they're scapegoating everyone and everything for the Arizona shooting. The killer was a psycho. He didn't do it because he was on the left or the right, he did it because he was a lunatic. As for Sarah Palin's "crosshairs over Arizona" being used to pin the blame on her, it just proves her haters are grasping at straws. The gunman WAS NOT a Sarah Palin supporter. He never said anything like, "I did this for you, Sarah!!". If he did, the news would have pounced on it immediately. So far, they have nothing. Miss America Pageant, The - TV Shows
Sorry, DolFan, with all due respect, it's appears you haven't ever watched the Miss America pageant but instead, are confusing it with the Miss USA pageant. (this is a common blunder when the word "pageant" comes up.) The only requirements for the Miss USA pageant is blonde hair and big boobs. The Miss America pageant, however, is a SCHOLARSHIP pageant: i.e. these girls have to have a brain and a good GPA to even participate. As much as college costs these days, how can that be "outdated"? They aren't pretending to be "pure as the driven snow" and the swimsuit competitions are now done in bikinis. They are not asked "What would you do to save the world" but instead, are asked questions re: current events. And it's not WHAT they answer but HOW articulately and intelligently they answer. The winners and the runners-up on the state level and Miss America level win scholarship money, which allows them to pursue an education. Former winners have become doctors, news journalists, veterinarians, lawyers, etc. Check out the website to see the former Miss Americas' careers: http://www.missamerica.org/our-miss-americas/ -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on January 20, 2011, 11:45 am

X-Files - TV Shows
This show's main problem came about because of the development of the main story arc. I like the conspiracy stuff, but as the story in it developed they still tried to maintain the lighter monster of the week episodes too. This led to the show developing a split personality that was kind of jarring. One week Mulder and Sculley would see strong evidence that there was a vast conspiracy involving the government and aliens, then next week they are tracking down a two headed snake in BFE. That is fine when you don't know the true scope and direction of the main plot, but once that became plain how relevant is it to track down the guy who is unusually lucky. Any sane person who knew some sort of global alien induce Apocalypse was on the way would be stocking up on canned goods and shotgun shells. -- Submitted By: (Joebob) on January 20, 2011, 8:32 am

In the first place I don't want to go to Cuba. If I get sick maybe I'll got to Canada or England. One of the things that our country is built on is the right to free speech even to badmouth the system on which it's built a little is acceptable. I don't think that MM or myself are against capitalism just that it needs to cleaned up a little bit. The idea is that some people are profiting by exploiting the suffering of others such as the people in "Sicko" and perhaps some other way of providing medical treatment would be better than robbing the poor and the disabled of every last dime you can squeeze from them. The insurance companies are shown clearly to be crooks and I think that MM makes sense here in a lot of ways. Atleast it's examining alternatives. MM just makes movies like any other producer or director and I'm not bothered by the fact that he gets paid for it. Better to give your money to an honest film maker than a crooked insurance company. We knew when we paid our money at the box office that a percentage was going to the people who made it which is more than we can say for the insurance companies. Why is it that people who create music or movies are expected to work for free? Like anything else the entertainment industry takes money to make money. Capitalism works just fine but why should it work for only a chosen few? It needs to be cleaned up a little bit from time to time. From the looks of things we might be able to learn a lesson form our neighbors up north or across the sea. It is certainly food for thought and that's what we're all about is the freedom to speak and to think. -- Submitted By: (lrbloom) on January 20, 2011, 6:13 am

lrbloom- the reason that many of us feel that MM and RATM are just plain old hypocrites is, if they really hated that crazy capitalist thing, then move to Cuba, or even ask to move in with the dear leader in North Korea (much less likely- I see Cuba as a real possibility), liquidate all of their assets, and earnings, and give them to the state, and work for the state producing art, for the Communist state. The NK thing probably is not possible, Im not sure you oculd get in, but Im sure Cuba would welcome both with open arms, and would allow them to produce their art. And if they are true believers in a socialist state, they would have state sponsored conerts, films, and live like everyone else. In fact, then they could both campaign and promote for capitalists to emigrate to Cuba and be socialists, if it was indeed so great. So until something like that happens, I will gladly (and accurately) call both of these entities what they are, hypocrites. You can bash capitalism all you want, but when you are hip deep in it bad mouthing it, don't expect anyone with an IQ above room temperature to take you seriously. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on January 20, 2011, 3:33 am

Sorry Stephanie, I normally agree with what you say but the Miss America Pageant is outdated, antiquated, and needs to be put to rest. It was a nice concept back in, say, 1950, but why should anyone care about women pretending to be pure as the driven snow, the swimsuit competition involving ONE PIECE suits, and the ridiculous "what would you do to save the world" questions that they *always* have the most ludicrous answers for? OK, it "un-boned" this year since it was aired on ABC. I still do not like the way they have the 12 semi-finalists all sitting around on stage, during the talent competition, waiting to have their names called. A simple, yet challenging game that was easy to play along with. Allen Ludden perfected the role of intelligent host. Unlike Alex Trebek, he never came across smug in his intelligence. Tom Kennedy did a fine job as replacement host on Password Plus, as did Bert Convy on Super Password. They also made nice updates to make it more modern. The newest version with Regis Philbin was atrocious. It was too into bells and whistles, which is what Password was never about. Also, the format was a bit confusing and Regis just wasn't the right fit as host. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on January 19, 2011, 3:19 pm

I managed to catch an episode a few days ago. The DTV schedule said, "Ghostbusters". Maybe they forgot to add "The Real" to the title, I thought to myself. The DTV schedule would do something like that to save space. But in the show's description were the names Jake and Eddie. At the same time I saw commercials with two guys and a gorilla. It was NOT the Real Ghostbusters after all. I was disappointed, but I decided to give it a try (morbid curiosity more than anything). Inferior, inferior, inferior to the Real Ghostbusters. If priests molest kids, they're reviled like the scum they are, and rightfully so. If celebrities molest kids, they evade justice and their fans either act like nothing happened, or that a mountain is being made out of a molehill. When Roman Polanski was arrested, everyone was getting upset with the government for "digging up an old case". I doubt they'd whine about an old case being "dug up" if the court responded to a 30-year old man's accusation against a priest that abused him when he was a boy. I wonder what their expressions will be when they meet Jesus Christ face-to-face and he says unto them, "Depart from Me, I never knew you!" -- Submitted By: (Regulus) on January 17, 2011, 2:28 pm

Roman Polanski - Celebrities
The poster child of Hollywood hypocrisy. Stupid celebs are always bitching at us to save the planet and stuff, yet this pedophile gets a pass because he's a part of the self-righteous elite. The lesson here is make good movies and all is forgiven... or as long as you support the pro-gay, anti-religion, liberal agenda then all is okay. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on January 17, 2011, 2:16 pm

Roman Polanski - Celebrities
A pedophile is still allowed to make movies and hollywield still defends him because he makes "good" movies, it makes me sick. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on January 17, 2011, 9:01 am

3rd Rock from the Sun - TV Shows
A great show that was funny from the start to the finish. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on January 17, 2011, 8:37 am

Beast Wars: Transformers - TV Shows
The most awesome show ever. It's has complex and different plots, and a excellent storyline. The best episode is when Dinobot give up his life to protect the (early) humans, his death is a most saddest death and has more meaning. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on January 17, 2011, 8:28 am

Tila Tequila - Celebrities
SSM: Pretty much. And more specifically in Tila's case, for boning anything that walks regardless of whether it's got a pole or a hole. -- Submitted By: (Mythigator) on January 17, 2011, 6:26 am

Sasha Baron Cohen - Celebrities
After giving it some thought, Bruno is the boning point. Looking like he is nothing more now than a one trick pony who got lucky with a clever (but obviously not gonna last long) gimmick of being a fake interviewer. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on January 16, 2011, 9:44 pm

Billy Mays - Celebrities
Never Boned. As was said, the guy could make ANYTHING sound pike the greatest invention for mankind. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on January 16, 2011, 9:38 pm
