Leonard Nimoy - Celebrities
May I add that if Mr. Nimoy didn't use his abilities to turn what could have easily been a one-note automaton into someone who virtually every viewer could relate in many ways, I seriously doubt "Star Trek" would have lasted 13 episodes. There I said it. R I P and Shalom, Mr. Nimoy. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on April 16, 2015, 3:41 pm

Whitney Houston - Celebrities
DolFan and kingbk, totally agree on your comments. -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 16, 2015, 1:29 am

The biography forgot, "died in 2012". -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 16, 2015, 1:27 am

Whitney Houston - Celebrities
shanequia, your comments about high notes and being high were hilariously spot on! -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 16, 2015, 1:27 am

Justin Bieber - Celebrities
I rememeber the Bill Cosby whistleblower's name that I mentioned--Hannibal Buress, of course! Anyway, Natasha Leggerio, Martha Stewart(!!!), Snoop Dogg, Hannibal Buress (the guy that outed Bill Cosby as a pervert), and your guest roast host, Kevin Hart. It was for the most p;art pretty good, though there were some rather soft soaping of JB and after some very satisfactorily nasty assults on Justin, Martha Stewart then kisses him (but was still very good at what she did on that show). Would still love for Amy Schumer, Howard Stern, Lisa Lampanelli, Sarah Silverman, Chris ROck and others to have been there! This has since been rated the top three CC roast (1st being 2011's "Charlie Sheen", 2nd being 2005's "Jeff Foxworthy", and 3rd now the current "Justin Bieber). -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on March 31, 2015, 11:43 pm

Tim Burton - Celebrities
Tim Burton is like a one-trick pony to me. Can he not make a whacked out, quirky and obscure film? I mean, yeah, the remake of Planet of the Apes was that moment. Then it just went back to Buron's usual ways. I mean, it's not like I hate everything he's made, but the stuff he's made are just more excuses for Hot Topic to make merchandise out of. He really did fail at the Chocolate Factory remake, though. Sorry, Burton, but your mystique doesn't cut the masterpiece Gene Wilder partook in. -- Submitted By: () on March 31, 2015, 7:06 am

Ice Cube - Celebrities
Ice Cube is about as ironic as Ice T. Both acted like hard-time gangstas but as soon as something happens to them, they back down. Except Ice T has more of the irony, considering he made an anti-police song then ends up on Law and Order playing a cop. -- Submitted By: () on March 31, 2015, 7:03 am

Justin Bieber - Celebrities
Anybody see the just-ended Comedy Central Roast of him (March 30,2015?) it was EXCELLENT! BTW It's just rerunning with the church part, if anyone wants to see it (if they either missed it or did not but want to see it again)..oin Comedy Central. Natasha Leggero, Snoop Dogg, that guy who outed Bill Cosby as a jerk (forgot his name), Will Ferrell (as his movie Anchorman/Ron Burgundy character), Martha Stewart (!! by all means the oldest), and your master Kevin Hart! -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on March 31, 2015, 2:10 am

Larry King - Celebrities
His fanciful stories about growing up with baseball hall of famer Sandy Koufax. He put these in several of his books, even after it became public knowledge that he invented this childhood friendship. -- Submitted By: (John63btf) on March 25, 2015, 5:22 pm

Fred Savage - Celebrities
Fred Savage never boned the fish. He seems like a nice guy and one of the greatest celebrities of my time. -- Submitted By: (tvwatcher7) on March 15, 2015, 10:17 am

Leonard Nimoy - Celebrities
Whoever wrote the comment about crying is right on! Nimoy and Spock were a part of the childhoods of millions of us over multiple generations. I felt like a part of me died along with Leonard but at least we have all those tv episodes and movies to watch over and over again. Thank you, Mr. Nimoy. rest in peace. -- Submitted By: (spacer) on March 8, 2015, 8:07 am

Leonard Nimoy - Celebrities
He'll always be the voice over for "In Search of" to me -- Submitted By: (John63btf) on March 4, 2015, 6:15 pm

Taylor Swift - Celebrities
Taylor and Katy Perry should just go ahead and do a lesbian sex tape. At least then all their constant hype would be justified. Taylor's blown through so many men at this point she might as well turn regardless. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on March 2, 2015, 6:52 pm

Leonard Nimoy - Celebrities
Spock was certainly an American cultural icon and I feel as if we have lost a Living National Treasure with the passing of Mr. Leonard Nimoy. I can't even remember the first Star Trek episode I ever saw-- he's literally been an ever-present part of my life. It's going to be hard to imagine a world without him. And any other actor that has attempted to portray Spock has paled in comparison. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on March 2, 2015, 12:19 pm

Shia LaBeouf - Celebrities
After reading spacer's entry, all I have to say is...good grief! I don't blame Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, and Brad Pitt not wanting to have anything to do with Shia after all that - I wouldn't touch him with a twenty-foot pole either. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on March 1, 2015, 4:43 pm

Iggy Azalea - Celebrities
I, too, think that Fancy isn't that great, either. I tried watching the music video - found the song to be grating. I find Weird Al's parody of Fancy to be a lot easier on the ears. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on March 1, 2015, 4:28 pm

Leonard Nimoy - Celebrities
He will always be remembered as Spock, though I'll always remember him as the voice of Galvatron in Transformers the Movie. Rest in peace, good sir. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on March 1, 2015, 4:27 pm

Leonard Nimoy - Celebrities
I love TV and movies but I don't get into celebrity worship. Robin Williams was one of my favorite actors. When I heard of his death I reacted with "that's a shame," and moved on without a second thought. Something deeply strange happened when I heard Leonard Nimoy was dead. I was working at my desk around noon on Friday and decided to check out the news. I hit the NPR stream on my phone and they were playing the Star Trek theme from the original series. I thought, cool, a Star Trek story. Instead of the usual 10 or 15 second clip, they played the whole thing and I began to get uneasy, the music went on for too long and I knew something was up. After the theme finished a very somber NPR guy said, "Leonard Nimoy died this morning at his home in California. He was 83." Here's the weird part. I cried. The news hit me right in the gut and I sobbed like a little kid. I still can't figure out why. I had never met the man and had no personal connection to him or his family. Yet there I was crying over the news of his death. I guess Nimoy and the character he was forever tied to, Spock, represented the best of human (and Vulcan) character traits. While Kirk was the frat-boy "let's break the rules and bang the babes" kind of guy, Spock was the stand-up, do what's right nerd. He was the one who took deep pride in wearing the Star Fleet uniform and was very much the conscience of the USS Enterprise. Spock has been a part of my entire life, I never knew a time without him, or Leonard Nimoy, until now. If Gene Roddenberry's vision of a better future is to last it is because of the character Spock, so brilliantly brought to life by Nimoy. I mourn the actor's passing but I know Spock will live on for many more generations. Spock and Nimoy were the best we have to offer the universe. He was the best of us, the best of our hearts, and the best of our souls and minds. LLAP old friend in your new home. -- Submitted By: () on March 1, 2015, 7:15 am

Amanda Bynes - Celebrities
Putting some much more needed commentary, Amanda Bynes has always had a sweet image more recent life notwithstanding. I still follow her career and love her a lot and just put a picture from 2007 (?) from a French Canadian site..(the name of the pic is 16_bynes_lgl -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on February 23, 2015, 2:21 am
