Prison Break - TV Shows
Season 1 was brilliant. Season 2 was good enough, and was vital to the narrative. Season 3 and Season 4 are when it became clear that the show was being continued for the sake of ratings for the network, instead of being continued for the narrative. The amount of plot twists in 3 & 4, especially 4, were outrageous, and you could clearly tell they were only being put in there because the writers had already wrapped up the story, were told to continue it by the network, and had no idea what to do with it. Someone on another messageboard said he stopped at the part where Michael says to Lincoln "we did it. We're free", and THAT is where it should have really ended. -- Submitted By: (JG) on March 8, 2011, 11:09 am

Heroes - TV Shows
Season 1 was unbelievable. Season 2 was passable, but nothing special. Season 3 was when it became terrible. I can't remember what Season 3 episode it was I last watched before I gave up on it, but I just remember being baffled at the awfulness of the plot twists they were throwing out by the dozen each episode. -- Submitted By: (JG) on March 6, 2011, 8:23 am

Dexter - TV Shows
Dexter is decent to good, but it's so formulaic and lazily written that it's not great. It basically coasts by on the premise and Michael C. Hall. The premise is fantastic. A serial killer who kills other killers and works within the police force who are chasing them. Awesome. Michael C. Hall, brilliant actor. Yet that's all it has going for it. The supporting characters are dire. The writing is lazy and lacks boldness. The seasons have started to follow the same blueprint of guest character who's gone by the end of the season. The first 2 seasons were very good, but after that all the points I mentioned previously started to become evident, and as it's been renewed for at least another season, I can't really imagine it getting better. It's the highest rated show on Showtime, or at least the highest rated original show, so they have no need to change the formula. I realised that the term "coasts by" just fits it perfectly. It could be so much more, but due to either laziness, wanting to appease the network or whatever other reason, it's just not what it could be. -- Submitted By: (JG) on March 6, 2011, 8:15 am
