Barack Obama II - Celebrities
This man has four controversies right now to deal with. It would be one thing if it was one, maybe even two, but four? Something sure seems fishy about that. I'm right down the middle moderate and this doesn't look good. Even famous liberal Chris Matthews is getting cold feet about Obama. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on May 16, 2013, 4:39 pm
Saturday Night Live - TV Shows
Watched it this weekend for Kristen Wiig's long awaited return as host. Let me say that I stand by my previous comments that this show has boned. The cold open on this episode was possibly the worst one I've ever seen. It pandered to their liberal audience so badly and it was tacky with the references to the Cleveland kidnapping situation. Bill Hader could sense it was bombing and ended it early. Wiig then copied SNL alums Rudolph, Myers and Fallon and did the whole "behind the scenes song and dance" opening monologue routine. Yawn. Outside of the Disney Channel skit which was very funny and Weekend Update, it was a bunch of recycled skits that haven't been funny in years. The Californians needs to be put to pasture. Is this where the show is now? If so, please put it to rest. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on May 13, 2013, 4:57 pm
Two and a Half Men - TV Shows
Why oh why won't CBS just finally put this dying dog to rest? It's never been that funny, but it's really not funny anymore. Two main characters are gone after this season and it's just showing it's age. Does Jon Cryer need a pay check that badly? -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on April 29, 2013, 12:15 pm

For a long time was a good right of center counter blance to the New York Times, but now it's leaning way to the right after good ol' Rupert took over. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on April 22, 2013, 12:01 pm
National Broadcasting Company (NBC) - Random Topics
NBC is living and dying off of sports. The NFL, Olympics and PGA golf are saving this channel from complete demise. Their primetime schedule is atrocious. The only show doing competently is The Voice. Revolution is ok, but I worry that it's just another "Lost" ripoff. Grimm is ok. Everything else can and should be cancelled. I liked Community until it took itself way too seriously with it's meta humor. The Office should have left the channel two years ago. Nobody watches Today and its smug host and Jay Leno only appeals to old people. NBC is holding out hope that Bill Cosby or Jerry Seinfeld or Jennifer Aniston once again walks through the door to save the network, but there are dark days ahead with no light on the horizon. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on April 1, 2013, 1:20 pm
Mickey Mouse cartoons - Movie Series
This is GREAT news! The new management at Disney seems to be making some interesting, but good moves. I remain cautiously optimistic. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on March 13, 2013, 10:11 pm

Totally agree about the red head girl in the commercials. Super annoying. I also don't like how they stereotype men, just like all other media do as well. Men: sloppy, stupid, selfish, incompetent and lazy. Obsessed with junk food, sports and not much else. Yet criticizing them (along with criticizing Christians) seems to be okay, while anyone else is off limits. No wonder the males of our generation are so screwed up. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on March 13, 2013, 10:09 pm
Meet the Parents - Movie Series
I just never liked this series that much. The jokes are too forced, I didn't like how in the 90s Robert De Niro turned into a silly caricature of himself (if you want to see him in a more light hearted role where he actually is believable, check out Silver Linings Playbook), the sequels were boring and redundant, and none of the characters are that likeable. I hope after the bomb of the last sequel that this series is over, until Hollywood decides to remake it in 10 years... -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on March 11, 2013, 3:00 pm

I enjoyed Seth MacFarlane as host, and I'm not a big fan of Family Guy. Seems to be one of the most polarizing hosts in history, as there are people who loved him and others who hated him. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on February 25, 2013, 12:45 pm
Taylor Swift - Celebrities
I get a "spoiled brat" vibe from her. I think that's why she had so many relationship issues. That and it seems to be the only inspiration for songs. Her latest album is in particular terrible. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on February 20, 2013, 5:59 pm
Charles Barkley - Celebrities
A lot of hate for Sir Charles on this site. I don't mind him all that much. I think he does a great job on TNT. Opinionated, yes, but once a week for bball coverage isn't all that bad. I can imagine if I had to see him more than that it would get on my nerves. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on February 19, 2013, 11:04 am
Saturday Night Live - TV Shows
The last truly great time for SNL was the mid 90s. Will Ferrell and Tina Fey kept it going somewhat through the early 2000s, but once they left, the show just hasn't been the same. I mean, Justin Bieber for host? Really? They also have a problem in recent time with taking somewhat funny skits and beating them into the ground. Two aholes was funny the first time, but got old, as did "What's Up with That" and "The Californians." SNL could rebound again, but they've been on a down slope for about ten years now. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on February 19, 2013, 10:58 am

Fun House - TV Shows
Poor man's Double Dare is right! Nonetheless, I still watched it every morning before school for the 3-4 years it was on. There was also the adult version on in the evening with college students and an unknown (at the time) Greg Kinnear was hosting. Funny how much his fame has shot up from those salad days! The show was okay, but looking back at it, it wasn't anywhere near as good as Double Dare. Marc Summers was a far superior host to J.D. Roth (I don't like the lame "I'm hip" schtick that Roth used in his hosting) and the stunts/bonus round in Double Dare was just that much better. However, Fun House did beat Double Dare in two areas: the cheerleaders (they were smokin' hot!) and that water slide. That looked like a trip to go down. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on January 28, 2013, 6:21 pm
Soap - TV Shows
One of the most innovative, provocative and entertaining sitcoms ever created. The show was way ahead of its time with utilizing satire and pushing the envelope of censorship with certain characters and story lines. The show was ground breaking in many ways. The quality slowly eroded when characters left and the writers wrote some bizarre story lines, but even today, it stands as one of the most unique sitcoms in history. It's really too bad ABC went from greatness like this to the sitcom cheese it created in the 80s-90s. At least they found their creativity again with Modern Family. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on January 24, 2013, 10:33 am
Coach - TV Shows
I agree with the comments about winning being the downfall of the show. The show was at its best when Hayden and his staff were struggling and trying to win. When they were winning, he turned into a legendary figure and the humor of the show was put into the background with the focus being on the greatness of Hayden. The move to Orlando and the pros just accelerated this drop in quality. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on January 24, 2013, 10:23 am
Lingo (2002 U.S. version) - TV Shows
I enjoyed this show when Chuck Woolery was host. When he left and was replaced by Bill Engvall, the show dumbed itself down and turned into a Blue Collar Comedy fest instead of a game show. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on January 22, 2013, 5:01 pm

Tommy Lee Jones gets more respect from me for not putting up with the Hollywood snarky humor circle jerk that everyone is suppose to fall for hook, line and sinker. At least someone in that strange place gets it. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on January 18, 2013, 1:27 pm
Lance Armstrong - Celebrities
If you look down this page, you know that I already expected this guy to be a fraud, so this "revelation" this week that he cheated doesn't surprise me at all. I watched clips of the Oprah interview and it doesn't really change my opinion of him much. Still seems like a arrogant prick, but an arrogant prick now exposed. First step towards recovery maybe, but we'll see. The big difference between Tiger and Lance... Tiger was caught and fessed up pretty much right away. Lance denied it for YEARS. He sued people and ruined lives. Outside of his ex-wife and maybe kids, Tiger didn't purposely ruin lives. Tiger is liked by most other golfers, Lance is despised my old teammates and other cyclists. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on January 18, 2013, 10:30 am
