Jetsons, The - TV Shows
I was introduced to the show during the '80s version, which also cycled in the '60s eps as well. I couldn't tell the difference back then and I think they actually did a faithful job. That is, until 1990 when they released The Movie. This was to be the last time the original cast would be assembled (George O'Hanlon and Mel Blanc died during production), but then some idiot exec insisted they throw out the recordings Janet Waldo made for Judy Jetson and hire fading pop star Tiffany to replace her in order to make the movie "hip". The plan failed. The movie flopped and was hated by critics. The franchise has been dead for 20 years now until the inevitable live-action remake comes around. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 6, 2010, 3:46 pm

George Lucas - Celebrities
He's been buying up the film rights to dead movie stars in the hope of using computer trickery to put them all together in a movie. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1335215 -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 4, 2010, 4:38 pm

I heard a conspiracy theory that further moon landings (and Mars, etc.) were called off by the order of aliens, whom feared we were too warlike. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 4, 2010, 4:20 pm

Wikileaks - Websites
They started out OK. They exposed a whole bunch of secret Scientology documents. I think these were the guys that also hacked into Macrovision and found documents detailing all kinds of ways the RIAA, MPAA, etc. are trying to screw over and persecute people. This year however, they seem to have gone off the deep end. Now everything they do seems to target the US Government, Military or Intel. Like other governments out there aren't doing shady things, too? If you're going to leak secret US documents, you should be leaking the JFK papers or Roswell. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 1, 2010, 5:02 pm

Jeepers Creepers (2001) - Movie Series
The director molested the star of his previous movie Clownhouse, videotaped it, was jailed for it, and has to register for life as a sex offender. And Hollywood keeps giving this guy work. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 30, 2010, 12:37 pm

Get-Along Gang, The - TV Shows
The writer for Garfield and Friends despised this show and created The Buddy Bears characters as a parody. From wiki: "They are three talking bears who spew conformist propaganda in the form of song and dance (Oh, we're the Buddy Bears we always get along, if you ever disagree, it means that you are wrong,: etc.) The Buddy Bears are a satire of The Get Along Gang and other '80s cartoons that placed the importance of group harmony over individualism. G.I. Joe Extreme - TV Shows
It's the '90s! Everything's gotta be EXTREME!!! And badly animated in Korea! Day one. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 29, 2010, 1:51 pm

G.I. Joe: Renegades - TV Shows
I'm not really digging this show so far. It's turning out to be more like the A-Team than G.I. Joe. I also hate the character designs. I don't know why character designs these days look WORSE than those of the 1980s. Should the craft of TV animation be getting better? -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 29, 2010, 12:01 pm

Wayne's World - Movie Series
Did you know that Mike Meyer's original draft for Wayne's World 2 didn't have Garth in it? Mike Meyers was jealous of Dana Carvey and wanted the focus to be all on him. The studio rejected it and he was forced to put in Garth. Studio interference isn't always a bad thing. He also didn't get along with WW1's director (she described him as a primadonna) and replaced her for the sequel. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 28, 2010, 6:00 pm

Avatar - Movie Series
I guess Cameron is believing his own hype. Why should he do Battle Angel when he believes his own creation Avatar is genius? Nevermind that the script seemed like a 12 year-old wrote it. Dances With Smurfs indeed; South Park nailed it and that was before the movie even came out! -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 28, 2010, 5:47 pm

Smurfs, The - TV Shows
I vaguely remember seeing that last season and thinking it was a ripoff of Quantum Leap. IIRC, the Smurfs naver make it back to their own time, either. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 27, 2010, 8:11 pm

Battle Angel Alita - Random Topics
Cameron put the movie on hold AGAIN to do stupid Avatar sequels. And the manga is suspended indefinitely due to the author fighting with the publishers over censorship. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 27, 2010, 12:22 pm

Kool-Aid - Random Topics
At some point in the '80s they just went nuts with making new flavors. They weren't even based on fruits or anything and just got weird like Purplesaurus Rex, Rock-a-Dile Red, Pink Swimmingo, and Sharkleberry Fin. There must have been like 40 or 50 flavors at one point. I notice now when I go by that aisle in the store they seem to have gone back to only 5 or 6 of the core flavors again. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 26, 2010, 8:20 pm

Hallie Eisenberg - Celebrities
Did anyone ever like The Pepsi Girl commercials? Everyone I know detested them. I remember they showed one in the movie theater with her ordering the audience not to talk during the movie and people started groaning and booing. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 26, 2010, 8:10 pm

Bambi - Movie Series
Did you know that the original author of Bambi wrote a sequel called "Bambi's Children"? I'm sure Disney didn't use it for their $equel, though. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 26, 2010, 7:18 pm

Oliver Beene - TV Shows
I don't know what they were thinking with that creepy gay kid. Not only was he a one-joke stereotype (He grows up to be gay! Get it? That's the joke!), the whole concept was ridiculous. A kid that effeminate would have a rough time in today's world, but this was supposed to be 1962! He would have been beaten to a pulp on a daily basis! There was another creepy episode where Oliver and gay kid's sister go into a closet and then emulate their parents' "bedroom sounds". Cue two 11 yer-olds'sexual moaning. Not sad to see this show gone. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 26, 2010, 3:00 pm
