Batman: The Brave and the Bold - TV Shows
So I've watched the whole series in its entirety now. A lot of the things I complained about in those early episodes were fixed or cleared up in the subsequent ones. Contrary to popular belief, the show wasn't always campy. It could be light, dark, funny, drama, a musical, etc. I'd highly recommend it. But everyone on Bone The Fish needs to see the final episode, Mitefall! It's a brilliant meta-humor episode. Batman jumps a shark with the Batski. This pisses Bat-Mite off; he wants a darker Batman TV show again. Bat-Mite tries to get Batman The Brave and the Bold canceled and does all these horrible things to the show like move Batman to Malibu and marry him off and give him a kid. Then he recasts Aquaman with Ted McGinley. Ambush Bug (voiced by Henry Winkler) sees what Bat-Mite is doing and enters Batman's world to try and help him. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on February 26, 2014, 11:27 am

JumptheShark.com - Websites
That is weird. Basically, they use the phrase as a "tag"/ "keyword" in a regular TV Guide article once a month. I wonder if it's some legal thing. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on February 14, 2014, 6:06 pm

So he's finally been arrested for drag racing while intoxicated. But he's a celebrity and he's above the law. And he knows it. He and Lindsay Lohan are now both in my "I hope they die before they get an innocent person killed" file. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on January 23, 2014, 7:00 pm

Meryl Streep - Celebrities
To hell with this broad for defaming Walt Disney with old urban legends when she was supposed to be presenting an award. Truly an ugly, self-centered incident that she should apologize for. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on January 16, 2014, 9:41 pm

Laura Prepon - Celebrities
She and Ashton were the worst ones of that cast. They were not really acting, just reading (or in Ashton's case, shouting) lines as themselves. Wilmer was probably third worst; at least he was trying to play a character. The conversion to bleach blonde and Scientology seemed to occur at the same time. That was her boning moment, and she's never recovered. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 18, 2013, 10:46 am

Shia LaBeouf - Celebrities
Shia's recent directorial debut, a short film called HowardCantour.com, was plagiarized from Fantagraphics comic book Justin M. Damiano. Shia was caught and apologized. Ironically part of his apology was also swiped from a website. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 17, 2013, 10:31 am

Tila Tequila - Celebrities
Yeah, that's one huge drawback to this age we live in. My Jewish father taught me about Antisemitism from when I was very young, yet I rarely encountered it in the '80s and early '90s. But Antisemitism has always been strong in the Muslim countries and in the former Communist Bloc. Now these cultures are spreading their ignorance and bigotry into the USA through the internet and through immigration. So I'm sure there's plenty of propaganda websites and videos out there portraying Hitler as a good guy that impressionable people are watching. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 14, 2013, 12:24 pm

John Denver - Music Groups
I was first introduced to John as a kid through his many crossovers with The Muppets. When I was in my teen and early twenties, I started to hate him. I thought he was a wuss, singing about trees and mountains. He had those DUIs during a lull in his career and I recall making some tasteless jokes when he died. Now that I'm older, I can appreciate his work a lot more. What's wrong with singing about mountains and trees? Nothing. I'd certainly prefer that to the plethora of songs about having sex, wanting to have sex, or busting caps in people's asses. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 14, 2013, 12:09 pm

Cheers - TV Shows
Maybe I was too young for it when it was on, but I thought the show was dull as dishwater. It was really overrated at the time-- they were calling it the best sitcom in TV history until Seinfeld came out. I remember that Bill Clinton was at one point supposed to appear on the finale, but he chickened out at the last minute. I also remember the "Live After Party" hosted by Jay Leno after the finale aired. It was a DISASTER of "Al Capone's Vault" proportions. The whole cast was PLASTERED and making fools of themselves in front of a stone-sober Leno. Really cringeworthy and hard to watch. I wonder if it's online somewhere. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 12, 2013, 10:46 pm

So now she wears Nazi uniforms and says she loves Hitler. I can only assume this is a pathetic attempt to extend her 15 minutes of fame. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/tila-tequila-wears-nazi-uniform-praises-hitler-shocking-rant-article-1.1543467 -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 12, 2013, 8:25 am

Alec Baldwin - Celebrities
An egomaniacal raging bully. I've always hated this guy with a passion and I'm glad people are starting to see his true colors. The recent South Park depiction of him as a vulgar boor tweeting anecdotes about chicks he banged in the early '90s was hilarious (and accurate). -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 28, 2013, 1:41 pm

Next Media Animation - Websites
They're now called TomoNews. And sadly, I'm starting to tire of them. I think their rising familiarity with American culture and humor has taken away some of the weirdness factor from their videos. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 13, 2013, 1:14 pm

Hobbit, The - Movie Series
I can't really judge the series properly until the trilogy is completed, but it seems excessive and I can't help be cynical about the motives. (Three movies instead of just one = more $$$$$$$) An even longer cut of the first one comes out this month. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 7, 2013, 1:56 pm

Republican Party - Random Topics
They can't continue to be the Party for the Rich if they want to continue to be viable. Unemployment, low salaries, outsourcing, and illegal workers will just make people poorer and less likely to vote Republican. It's funny how the Republicans are willing to sell out all their other principles like becoming pro-illegal immigration and pro- gay marriage, but won't budge when it comes to things like affordable health care that people actually need. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on October 7, 2013, 8:21 pm

Miley Cyrus - Celebrities
She looks like a... what's the PC word... ah yes, a mentally challenged person when she does that tongue thing. Very smart move for her fiance to bail out when he did. What a trainwreck! -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on October 3, 2013, 9:22 pm

Bobs Burgers - TV Shows
I've heard a lot of good things about it from friends and family. I've even watched an episode or two. I just can't get over what are obviously men voicing female characters. I mean, why? What's the purpose of that choice? It just takes me out of the whole thing. I know that may seem superficial, and it probably is, but I can't be the only one put off by it. And no, women like Nancy Cartwright voicing boys in cartoons is not the same thing. If they had a real boy to play Bart Simpson in 1987, we'd probably be on our fifth voice actor for him by now. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on September 22, 2013, 6:21 pm
