Hallie Eisenberg - Celebrities
I never saw the Pepsi Girl commercials, and something tells me I should be glad I didn't. I'm guessing mere words cannot describe how terrible those commercials were. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 27, 2010, 9:01 am

Garfield and Friends - TV Shows
Loved Garfield & Friends when it aired Saturday mornings. I love Picnic Panic (first episode w/ singing ants), Rainy Day Robot (Roy losing his cool with the rain-making robot kills me), and many others. RIP Lorenzo Music - you will not be forgotten. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 27, 2010, 8:54 am

Bill Cosby - Celebrities
Never boned. Bill Cosby demonstrates you don't need to drop lots of f-bombs to be funny. And his stances on taking responsibility for your actions make him even more likable. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 27, 2010, 8:52 am

Muppet Show, The - TV Shows
I agree, Travoltron. Seriously, what's the hold-up regarding the release of seasons 4 & 5 of The Muppet Show on DVD? That said, The Muppet Show didn't bone - it got better as it moved along. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 27, 2010, 8:49 am

Dancing With the Stars - TV Shows
True that, Robert - the previous Dancing With the Stars had Buzz Aldrin and Kate Gosselin, IIRC. Aldrin's 15 minutes mostly expired with the 1969 moon landing, and he used the few remaining seconds in socking the moon landing denier. Kate Gosselin, on the other hand...should not ever be called famous. She's a selfish harridan and a terrible mother, period. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 20, 2010, 8:59 am

2012 doomsday prediction - Random Topics
Indeed, johnnydough. I laughed in the face of Y2K, and I chortled at those freaking out over June 6, 2006 (6/6/06). -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 18, 2010, 1:49 pm

IMDB - Websites
I only go to IMDB for information, and nothing else. The message boards can choke for all I care. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 18, 2010, 1:44 pm

Wizard of Oz, The - Movie Series
It goes to show Hollywood is seriously lacking in creativity - they take a beloved classic and remake (read: ruin) it. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 18, 2010, 1:40 pm

Westboro Baptist Church - Random Topics
Now THAT'S what I call poetic justice, Robert. It serves them right - karma's a bitch, ain't it? -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 18, 2010, 1:38 pm

Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids - TV Shows
Fat Albert was something I watched when I was a kid, and I now have two volumes on DVD - the early episodes did a great job in teaching important lessons without being overly preachy or completely dull. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 15, 2010, 2:17 pm

Jon and Kate Plus 8 - TV Shows
Though I still don't care for this load of tripe, I read somewhere that two of Gosselin sextuplets got expelled from private school and will have to be home-schooled because they imitated their parents' behavior - name-calling, use of filthy language, and making fun of others. Parents of the Year, Jon "The Spineless Wimp" Gosselin and Kate "The Selfish Hell-Raising Harridan" Gosselin are NOT and NEVER WILL BE. I also heard that one of those same kids is sick of the cameras stuck in his face to the point he refused to have school pictures taken of him. It sounds like the next person who sticks a camera in his face is gonna get their camera shoved up their ass sideways. You hear that? That thing you heard was probably every last child psychologist in the world yelling at the exact same time, "SEE, I TOLD YOU SO!" -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 12, 2010, 11:53 pm

Will It Blend? - Random Topics
I like watching the Will It Blend? series although the stuff featured does indeed blend and it gets predictable after a while - it always ends with "Whoo...(term regarding what was blended) smoke! Don't breathe this." That said, my personal favorite would have to be when Dickson blended a vuvuzela. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 12, 2010, 7:44 pm

Wal-Mart - Random Topics
If people want to shop at Wal-Mart, that's their business. I have no problem with Wal-Mart myself - my only complaint has to do with the lack of open checkouts if I do buy something. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 12, 2010, 7:42 pm

Jobvent - Websites
What happened to Jobvent was probably part of the backlash from when a former waitress for a pizza place or some other restaurant (I forget the name) had to stay because a couple of her customers took forever in ordering, eating, and whatever - she blasted them on Facebook and was fired as a result. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 12, 2010, 7:39 pm

Wacky Packages - Random Topics
Although I didn't get into Wacky Packages, I saw a book listing some of the old-school Wacky Packages. Some of them cracked me up, like Dampers. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 12, 2010, 7:36 pm

Mr. Potato Head - Random Topics
I had an old-school Mr. Potato Head when I was a wee lad - my parents didn't freak out over the plastic pipe in the set. Those who thought the plastic pipe encouraged smoking used their heads for keeping their ears apart. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 12, 2010, 7:34 pm

Swine Flu - Random Topics
Just another Chicken Little-type scenario foisted on the population, and some thin-skinned hypochondriacs freaked out. Yawn. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 12, 2010, 7:30 pm

American South, The - Random Topics
My dad's from Alabama and my mom's from Illinois (imagine that, a Confederate married a Yankee!) - and I don't embrace the redneck label by any stretch of the imagination. I don't live in a trailer, don't have 5 cars up on blocks, or any of the other stuff people associate with rednecks. I'm just your average Joe living where he wants and doesn't care what others think of him. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 10, 2010, 3:44 pm

Avril Lavigne - Celebrities
The high point of her so-called "career" was when one of her songs got the Weird Al parody treatment. Now...she's faded into obscurity, and I hope she stays there. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 10, 2010, 3:37 pm

Nickelodeon - Random Topics
Nickelodeon. You'll never find a more wretched hive of garbage and unwatchable crap. I liked it when it had shows like You Can't Do That On Television (something that deserves a DVD release), Danger Mouse, Double Dare, All That (love Have A Nice Day With Leroy and Fuzz and Ask Ashley), Hey Arnold!, Rocko's Modern Life...now it's nothing but Spongebob and tween crap. It was good while it lasted...sayonara, Crap-a-load-eon. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 10, 2010, 3:31 pm
