Cartoon Network - Random Topics
When Cartoon Network started in with the live-action stuff is when they boned. Hello! McFly! Anybody home?! It's called CARTOON Network for a reason, meaning live-action is OUT OF THE QUESTION. It went the way of MTV - an all-music-video channel became an all-reality-show channel. Makes me think those who run Cartoon Network and MTV both have sewage for brains and the decision-makers aren't much better. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 14, 2010, 7:38 pm

High School - Random Topics
It's sad but true, ScottyB. In my junior year of high school (1992-93), there was a girl on my school bus who got pregnant and had the kid. While I'm struggling to make ends meet, she's probably living off the government teat and sucking it drier than the Atacama Desert. Ugh. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 14, 2010, 7:31 pm

Metalocalypse - TV Shows
I didn't care about Metalocalypse at first, but I watched a few clips and decided to give it a whirl. It's not bad, but kinda overdoes the "killing innocent bystanders" angle after awhile. I personally hope they clear up some mysteries surrounding the Tribunal (and especially Mr. Selatcia (the guy who often gives the last word regarding what to do) - talk about mysterious). -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 14, 2010, 11:04 am

Arby's - Random Topics
Agreed, JustLooking - although it's pricey at times, Arby's makes good food. I especially like the Beef 'n Cheddar and the Loaded Potato Bites. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 14, 2010, 10:56 am

Rocky - Movie Series
Recently watched Rocky Balboa and I'll definitely say it was better than Rocky V. The series probably reverse-boned with Rocky Balboa - now, Hollywood...LEAVE THIS MOVIE SERIES ALONE! -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 14, 2010, 10:52 am

Perez Hilton - Celebrities
I recently heard that Perez intends to do his blog differently - he claims to have changed and matured, so on and so forth. If that sideshow freak thinks I believe his steaming pile of BS, I have beachfront property in Kansas I'd like to sell him. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 14, 2010, 10:51 am

Culture Club - Music Groups
There's only one song of theirs I like considerably, and that was because it was featured in the game Saints Row 2 - Karma Chameleon. That aside...I never heard of Culture Club. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 14, 2010, 10:47 am

MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) - Random Topics
JustLooking & PYLrulz - once again, it proves the road to hell is paved with good intentions. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 11, 2010, 12:52 pm

Matrix - Movie Series
I liked the first one, though the philosophy stuff threw me considerably. Second and third ones...ugh. But what really burns me up is the fact just about any TV show or movie with a sci-fi premise woven in just HAS to make a Matrix reference at one point or another and run it into the ground (especially that damnable "bend over backwards dodging bullets in bullet-time" bit). -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 9, 2010, 3:40 pm

America's Funniest Home Videos - TV Shows
Some of the dumbest videos I recall won the $10,000 prize. One of them was a woman falling off a horse - the only thing that allegedly made it funny was some snarky remark. It still didn't make it funny to me. There was another one I hated and yet it still won - some kid crying his eyes out over a loose tooth. WHAT THE @#$% IS SO DAMN FUNNY ABOUT THAT?! What the hell have the judges been smoking to decide something like that deserves a shot at $10,000? -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 9, 2010, 3:37 pm

Deal Or No Deal - TV Shows
Goes to commercial too often, too much time is taken up with small talk between Howie and the contestant (as well as the call from the "banker"), and most contestants fail to follow the advice laid out by the chorus of "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers (in a nutshell, most of them are too greedy and/or clueless). -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 9, 2010, 3:26 pm

Family Guy - TV Shows
Pre-cancellation - Family Guy was indeed worth watching. The way it is now...I'll pass. I can't stand how Meg takes all that abuse, Peter's stupidity is painful to watch, and I hate the way Stewie and Brian are now. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 4, 2010, 9:17 pm

Christmas - Random Topics
I'm inclined to agree with your assessment there, ScottyB - I daresay the commercials and decorations will start making appearances in the same time frame. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 4, 2010, 9:11 pm

American Dad! - TV Shows
I didn't have high opinions of AD at first, but I watched the Season 1 box set and before I knew it, I found myself enjoying it. American Dad has indeed gotten better while Family Guy hit the skids. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 4, 2010, 9:10 pm

Lindsay Lohan - Celebrities
Amen, Robert! I'm sick of hearing more about this train wreck. Media, please...stop reporting about wastes of space like Lindsay Lohan! It is NOT news, and nobody gives a @#$% about what shenanigans they've done! -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 3, 2010, 5:03 pm

Legend of Zelda, The - TV Shows
I remember being crazy for this back when I was 13-14 years old. Now...it's just painful to watch. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 3, 2010, 4:57 pm

Sesame Street - TV Shows
I loved watching Sesame Street when I was a wee lad and lost interest around the time Elmo showed up. So yeah, I agree that it boned when Elmo showed up. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 2, 2010, 5:21 pm

Buzz Aldrin - Celebrities
Aside from the '69 moon landing, another time Aldrin rocked was when he socked that moon-landing denier who was getting real confrontational with him. Since then, I daresay it's been downhill for Aldrin. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 2, 2010, 5:17 pm

Lance Armstrong - Celebrities
Those who say Lance sucked from the start must be French. I remember how they had to be so damn arrogant as to act like Lance had no business winning the Tour de France. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 2, 2010, 5:14 pm

Fraggle Rock - TV Shows
Loved it as a kid (had HBO back then). I still remember when they had something where you send in a postcard saying who your favorite Fraggle was. I lost track of Fraggle Rock after moving to Jacksonville (didn't get HBO there). Now that I have it all on DVD and watched all episodes, I still say it rocks. Too bad Hollywood intends to make a movie that I'm sure won't be anywhere near as good as the TV show - I bet Jim Henson's spinning in his grave now. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 2, 2010, 5:10 pm
