I agree with your friend's assessment, Robert. "The Spew" is the first thing that comes to mind when I think about these yapping harpies. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 4, 2010, 9:15 am

California - Random Topics
I lived in California a long time ago - I'm glad I got out of there when I did. If I was living there now, the first thing I'd do is look for a home somewhere else - they can take their debt and choke on it. Anytime I think I have it bad here in Florida, I think about how much worse it is in California and feel better as a result. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 4, 2010, 9:06 am

Chris "Boomer" Berman - Celebrities
I agree about his home-run call - I prefer the late Harry Caray's "It might be, it could be...IT IS!" by a lot. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 10:07 am

Affirmative action - Random Topics
Affirmative action is an attempt to "rectify" for "past wrongs" - no amount of money or easy jobs will change what happened in the past. What's done is done, MOVE FORWARD. It's one thing to know about past mistakes so they won't be repeated, it's another to show favor towards one group over another because of what happened in the past. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 10:05 am

DVDs - Random Topics
I didn't get into DVDs when it first came out - I waited a while before making the switch. Right now...I don't give a hoot about Blu-Ray because I'm not interested in the finest detail in every scene being SO visible. I watch for the MOVIE, not how many hairline cracks are in that brick in the lower-left corner. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 9:59 am

Nintendo (company) - Random Topics
Nintendo was at its best in the late 80's/early 90's. Although it's true Nintendo is not the behemoth it was long ago, it's still in the hardware market, which is more than could be said for their former rival, Sega. At least, they didn't make a bunch of wild claims about their console and then pay dearly when the truth came to light (case in point - Sega claiming the Genesis had "blast processing" when it didn't). -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 9:55 am

JibJab - Websites
I check out JibJab every once in a while for their take on what's happened recently. I liked the Bush/Kerry one from the '04 election set to the tune of "This Land Is Your Land" by Woody Guthrie. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 9:52 am

Rate My Teachers - Websites
I checked out Rate My Teachers to see what others wrote about teachers I had in high school. Site looks good, I might leave a comment or two there if I feel like it. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 9:48 am

Chipmunk Adventure, The (Animated film) - Movie Series
This movie is the one to watch if you want a Chipmunk movie - don't bother with the live-action ones, EVER. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 9:45 am

Jamie Lynn Spears - Celebrities
Yawn. Another douche with the tag of "famous" for no reason. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 9:36 am

My Super Sweet 16 - TV Shows
Ugh. Just ugh. Reality TV is a plague on TV, but the network execs don't want to miss out on a single penny of their bloated 8-digit income, so they go for as cheap as possible. Anything that's reality TV is instant-suck to me. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 9:34 am

Britney and Kevin: Chaotic - TV Shows
I'm glad I didn't watch this. I had a feeling the marriage was doomed to fail from the get-go and the media was making use of every conceivable means of wrecking it. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 9:30 am

C.O.P.S. (Cartoon) - TV Shows
I enjoyed this cartoon series despite the fact it got cheesy from time to time. I don't think it boned even though the criminals were out of prison by the next episode. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 3, 2010, 9:29 am

Donkey Kong Country - Random Topics
Never boned. My favorite out of the lot was Donkey Kong Country 2. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 1, 2010, 9:15 am

Pac-Man (video game series) - Random Topics
Pac-Man was the game that made me into a gamer long ago - I first played it at a roller-skating place in San Diego when I was a lad of 5. I was taking a break from skating when Mom gave me a quarter and I played. I had so much fun that I always asked for a quarter if the place we were shopping had a video game. One of my favorite songs of all time was because of how popular Pac-Man was - I'm talking about Pac-Man Fever by Buckner & Garcia. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 1, 2010, 9:13 am

Celebrity Deathmatch - TV Shows
I watched a couple of episodes long ago and was hooked almost instantly. As I continued watching, there were some outcomes I liked (a machine mulched Rage Against the Machine, Stone Cold Steve Austin crushed Vince McMahon); and some outcomes I hated (worst to me was Al Gore beating Weird Al Yankovic - that was suckage of the highest kind). -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 1, 2010, 9:08 am

Camp Candy - TV Shows
I enjoyed watching Camp Candy long ago - it was a staple of Saturday morning TV watching for me before I had to go to my Saturday morning bowling league. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 1, 2010, 9:02 am

Earth Liberation Front (ELF) - Random Topics
Another group that sucked from the get-go. All they're proving by their actions is how stupid and insane they are. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 1, 2010, 8:59 am

Animal Liberation Front (ALF) - Random Topics
Sucked from the start. What do they hope to prove by committing crimes in the name of "Mother Earth"? They're proving nothing except how ridiculously stupid and insane they are. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 1, 2010, 8:57 am
