Yeah, unfortunately, it's still on the air. Since there are a limited number of American TV shows in the Philippines (where I live), it just takes up useless space. Lost in Space - TV Shows
I thought that it was really odd how they changed the Dr. Smith character. But I guess they couldn't keep him as a dangerous/murderous saboteur. The only thing about the movie was his compassion for Will (for example, not letting him see the graves of his parents). I think if they had developed that aspect of the Dr. Smith character more in the TV series, it would have given a lot more depth to the show. Still interesting, though.
