Mike Tyson - Celebrities
Because it happened afterwards, then yes.
Before Douglas (BD) Mike Tyson was on top of the world, seen as an unbeatable megastar athlete. EVERYBODY thought he was the shiznit. Afterwards, his legacy began to die piece by piece. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 28, 2009, 2:23 am

Knight Rider (1982) - TV Shows
HA!!! If you thought THIS show was lame, you should've seen the recent '08-09 remake. Good LORD it was horrible, made this show seem like a brilliant work of art by comparison. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 28, 2009, 2:17 am
Sims, The - Random Topics
I HATED The Sims when it first came out with the burning passion of a thousand suns!!! My God, where do I even begin with this abomination??? How about the fact that the player had to literally do EVERYTHING for the characters, and if you didn't they'd urinate right on the floor, pass out where they stood, etc. Or the fact that each room took about 10-15 minutes of "Sim" time to walk across, meaning that if you didn't start walking across your living room to go outside to your carpool 15 minutes before time they'd leave you or you'd be late for work? Or how about your character actually getting DEPRESSED and refusing to function if you didn't keep buying stuff? As far as I could tell that was literally the only reason for even having a job (hey, same as real life!). Or that somehow your guy didn't and could never own a car yet one mysterious person in the neighborhood did and everyone else had to jam inside it just to get to work? Or that your guy had to work EVERY SINGLE FREAKING DAY? Or that it was actually possible to burn to death cooking food? Or that if you went more than one day without cleaning the kitchen, this massive cloud of flies would appear out of nowhere and buzz around? Or that you could start off the game living with a woman, but couldn't have sex until you spent a month or so TALKING with her every spare minute you had? Worst game ever!!! GAAAAH!!! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 27, 2009, 7:16 pm
Atkins Diet, the - Random Topics
Another incredibly lame fad that I hated. Every single day for about 2 years it was Atkins diet this, Atkins diet that, Atkins Atkins Atkins, and then the guy dropped dead and all of a sudden the same people who were pounding into my brain how "healthy" it was suddenly changed their tune overnight! Just more proof that the food nannies, as I call them, don't have a clue what they're talking about and have actually contradicted themselves multiple times over the past few decades on what a "healthy" diet is. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 27, 2009, 7:06 pm
Super Bowl - Random Topics
The games themselves are actually better than ever.
The ads on the other hand...I remember when they used to be genuinely entertaining, and got me through some putrid Super Bowls in the 80s and 90s. Then it happened. January of 2000, Titans-Rams. They just suddenly stopped being entertaining that year and ever since. It's a night and day difference between the ad quality before and after that Super Bowl. I used to be bored by the game and watch the ads, now I watch the game and mute the ads! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 27, 2009, 7:00 pm
Y2K Bug, The - Random Topics
BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Remember this fiasco? Everything that was controlled by a computer was supposed to break down at once, which was supposed to trigger mass hysteria and the collapse of humanity as we know it. The media was ADAMANT about this. I personally never did understand how a simple date change would cause every other function of a computer to suddenly crash, but maybe that was just me. And then Jan 1, 2000 came and went, and...NOTHING HAPPENED. And you KNOW it wasn't because the problem was magically fixed, because people these days don't have the ability to fix ANY problem other than the most trivial ones. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 27, 2009, 6:55 pm
Mike Tyson - Celebrities
Like another Mike who just died, Tyson actually was a big star for about 5 years, which somehow convinced some people he should be one for life.
Tyson's true BTF moment came with the Douglas loss. Everything--and I mean EVERYTHING--bad that happened to him afterwards was a direct result of that night.

Michael Jackson - Celebrities
I'm glad ChubbyRain said what he did so I wouldn't have to. I'm *already* sick of the MJ lovefest, and it hasn't even been a week!
But unfortunately for those of us who never thought he was God's gift to humanity, his death (like Elvis's) is going to wind up "convincing" everyone he was this megastar all along, and pretty soon there will be legions of MJ imitators, MJ songs in almost every ad (if not MJ himself thanks to CG), the MJ postage stamp, a parade of posthumous MJ albums that might be more than he produced when alive, etc. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 27, 2009, 6:39 pm
Eminem - Music Groups
Eminem was in his late 20s (same as me) in '99 when he decided to burst onto the scene acting like some junior high kid and helped bring about the death of good music possibly forevermore. I never did think he was anything special. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 26, 2009, 10:55 pm
Michael Jackson - Celebrities
Dying is actually the best career move Michael Jackson could've made. He might have reassembled the bones of the fish and then put the scales back on. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 26, 2009, 1:23 am
Panda Bears - Random Topics
Maybe pandas aren't lazy. Maybe it's just that female pandas have the same standards as human ones, most of whom don't seem to want to have a kid with 99% of the guys they meet.
Of course the female panda doesn't realize there are a *lot* fewer males of her species to choose from. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 26, 2009, 1:21 am

Xena: Warrior Princess - TV Shows
Went from not half-bad show despite all the increasingly crazy plots to becoming one long ad for lesbianism. Boo-ring. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 24, 2009, 1:52 am
Hillary Clinton - Celebrities
Anybody else remember when Hillary tried to force changes to the health care industry when she was the First Lady? Apparently nobody told her she didn't actually have any governmental authority at that time. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 22, 2009, 7:50 pm
Reba - TV Shows
I've always thought Reba was a MILF (and her breasts look quite a bit larger on this show than they ever did in the 90s) and even that's not enough to make me want to watch this lame sitcom depicting a white trash family disguised as lower middle class. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 22, 2009, 7:47 pm
Lexx - TV Shows
Okay, so the whole "Fire and Water planets" thing was a dropoff but I could live with it. But then they reached Earth and the series boned the fish so thoroughly they went straight to the marrow, as Lexx became as trashy as reality TV? Stanley becomes a fluffer for a porn flick??? And then somehow the villains from the old universe (which had been DESTROYED) start conveniently showing up on Earth??? What??? -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 22, 2009, 7:25 pm
Will Smith - Celebrities
Remember when he played that smug, snarky superhero in that movie with Charlize Theron? I now believe he was basically playing himself. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 20, 2009, 5:09 pm
Jessica Alba - Celebrities
HAHA, YOU GO CHUBBYRAIN!!! TELL IT LIKE IT IS!!!
How can anyone want to play a stripper and then say they're NOT getting naked? You're a STRIPPER!!! It's not as if she was being asked to do a gratuitous nude scene out of nowhere that didn't even fit the movie.
Plus I actually saw the one episode of "Punk'd" she was on and let's just say she made Leona Helmsley look like Mother Teresa. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 20, 2009, 5:04 pm
George W. Bush - Celebrities
It warms my heart to see people actually presenting the REAL truth as opposed to the liberal media's version of it.
All those who thought Bush was the Worst President Ever are about to get a dose of what a REALLY bad president is like! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 19, 2009, 7:43 pm
