Murphy Brown - TV Shows
MCS, it's not paranoia when everyone's actually out to get you, and has been for at least the last 20 years. Right before Obama was elected you'd have thought Republicans were some evil group of aliens in human disguise like the lizards from V! Now I think people are finally seeing where the TRUE problem lies, but unfortunately it's probably too late since these sheep gave the Dems control of the presidency *and* Congress first. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:54 pm

Domino's Pizza - Random Topics
Wait, let me get this straight--their old recipe sucked, so they changed it and actually made it WORSE??? LOL -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:51 pm

Westboro Baptist Church - Random Topics
Ah, Baptists. Let me tell you a little something about Baptists. My last 2 years of high school I moved to a Baptist-dominated town. If you weren't Baptist, you didn't matter in any way shape or form, adult or child. If you weren't Baptist, or at least friends with them, you were considered worthless at school. These people could quote you any Bible verse from memory but come the weekend they were out drinking and screwing in the backseats of cars like everybody else. But it was okay, because--and one of them actually told me this--all they had to do was have a "private conversation" with God and all their sins would instantly be forgiven, just like that! As a Catholic I was jealous since I had to actually go to confession and admit my sins to a priest. I got roped into going to one of their vacation Bible school things and was told that Gandhi was in hell because he wasn't Baptist! Seriously! One of them actually wrote a letter to the paper saying Baptists were around before Catholics because of John the Baptist! These people are the ultimate hypocrites, and this Westboro group is just dumb enough to get caught. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:49 pm

Pizza Hut - Random Topics
MCS, I remember!!! My family used to go to Pizza Hut all the time back then just for fun! And they always had killer buffets too! Now it's a joke. The last time I was in a Pizza Hut the place was just about dead. No buffet, no nothing. I only went for nostagia purposes but as usual, sometimes it's best just to fondly remember the past. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:43 pm

Star Wars - Movie Series
The prequels reflect not just a pathetic money grab by Lucas, but also the changes in society from when the original trilogy occurred. Back in the late 70s/early 80s there'd have been no way a whiny emo-type character would've been seriously considered to be in a movie like these. That personality type pretty much didn't exist back then. Also, the completely chemistry-free "relationship" between Anakin and Padme accurately reflects the real life chemistry free nature of most "relationships". Decades from now, people will definitely be able to identify which time periods the first and second trilogies were made just by the way the characters act. Art does imitate life you know. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:37 pm

Def Leppard - Music Groups
Def Leppard (who made me wish I WAS deaf in the late 80s) followed the career path of so many other 80s rock bands. First album rocks, even though apparently nobody knows about it. Second album has some songs that still rock but also some ballads and this album becomes so popular most people think it's their first. Third album on is nothing but ballad badness. Rinse, lather, repeat. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:30 pm

Chevy Chase - Celebrities
I will say Chevy Chase in his prime was ten times funnier than any comedy wannabe these days. It's probably best that he *doesn't* come back lest he make like Buzz Aldrin and become yet another "reality TV" joke. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:26 pm

Buzz Aldrin - Celebrities
Buzz Aldrin's appearance on "Dancing With The Has Been/Never Were Stars" is to me the nadir of the whole "senior citizens suddenly trying to act like they're 21 again" craze. It's bad enough I have to be bombarded with ED drug ads aimed for these people and rock bands around before I was born still milking the cash cow, but now THIS??? Buzz Aldrin comes out of the woodwork after 40 years for THIS??? -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:23 pm

Adult Swim - Random Topics
I too remember the good old days of '01. Now every new show they've put out in the past 6 years or so is nothing but juvenile dreck even juveniles would get bored with, and the old shows that used to be genuinely clever are just as bad. It's become unwatchable for me now. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:18 pm

According to Jim - TV Shows
Wait, you mean this show finally had a finale? It seemed to be on the air for the past 20 years! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:16 pm

Pirates - Random Topics
I may be in the minority, but I never did like pirates, not even as a kid. I just always saw them as the morally bankrupt people they always and still are. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:13 pm

American Chopper - TV Shows
I don't even watch the show, but it BTF for me when I started seeing ads for it that highlighted the fact the father and son were suddenly no longer on speaking terms. Or was that just more staged "reality TV" drama? -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:11 pm

Tiger Woods - Celebrities
Thank God the Masters is over and the right guy won--the guy who's been faithful to his wife through breast cancer when Tiger would've dropped her like a hot potato seconds after hearing the news. Now maybe I won't have to hear about this bum any more for a few weeks at least. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:09 pm

Daylight Saving Time - Random Topics
Definitely BTF when the government randomly decided to extend it by a couple of months for no reason. Does anybody else remember that? It used to not switch until April or May, now it changes in February and stays all the way through October I think! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:06 pm

Communism - Random Topics
LMAO!!! It's because people today for the most part are mindless sheep and actually believed that bit about "change" never once thinking it might mean change for the worse. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on March 6, 2010, 6:15 pm

Cable TV - Random Topics
One of my friends used to have DirecTV until he moved, and now he has cable. He HATES it. On DirecTV if you want to know what's on you just hit the "guide" button and start scrolling. On cable there's a guide "channel" which scrolls through so slowly you're actually better off just flipping through channels one by one! Not to mention you can;t even watch it without being subjected to some horrible celebrity ads. Literally, ads for celebrities! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on March 6, 2010, 6:10 pm

Affirmative action - Random Topics
Affirmatove action is all the proof you need that liberals aren't trying to stamp out racism, they're actually and actively contributing to it. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on March 6, 2010, 6:06 pm

NASA - Random Topics
But Robert, how does that explain the decline in math skills? Math isn't political, it's just math. The answer to a math problem is either right or it isn't. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on March 6, 2010, 6:04 pm
