I disagree. Saw some toy ads today. I've also heard that Christmas Creep started up a month or two ago. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on October 4, 2010, 7:00 pm

I saw the ad for the Rush Family Guy episode today, and my flabber is officially ghasted. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on October 3, 2010, 4:19 pm

Telemarketing/Telesales - Random Topics
One thing people need to know is that in America it is illegal for any telemarketer to call you after 9 PM local time. Just letting everybody know. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on October 3, 2010, 4:17 pm

That does it MCS, you have forced me to go on a political rant!!! j/k :-) IMO the idea of divorce became popular when after the "sexual revolution" men and women alike started asking themselves why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free, if ya know what I mean. It's casual sex that destroyed marriage as our grandparents knew it. These days it really is just better to live together without getting married, for a variety of reasons. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on October 3, 2010, 4:14 pm

Lindsay Lohan - Celebrities
Well yeah, maybe that was a bit harsh. But the way she's going I won't have to root for it. I just want her out of my life, and she's not even really in it!!! I also realize there would be a huge deal made out of her death, but it would only be temporary. People made a big fuss about Michael Jackson too, but after a month or so they moved on. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 30, 2010, 10:59 pm

Lindsay Lohan - Celebrities
I love the fact she was in jail this latest time for LESS THAN A DAY despite literally the whole world knowing she's the ultimate scofflaw. At this point I'm openly rooting for her to die of a drug overdose. And not only will I not apologize for that, I don't feel I should have to. At this point death would be the only way to get her out of the news once and for all!!! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 29, 2010, 8:40 pm

Bowl Championship Series (BCS) - Random Topics
Know what the BCS reminds me of? The "in" crowd in high school. Why? Because they wouldn't let anyone in who wasn't already a member no matter what. Already you've got people arguing that Boise shouldn't be allowed to play for a title period and a one loss team from any of the BCS conferences should get in ahead of them instead, and these people are VEHEMNT about this. They;re more passionate about this then they are about REAL problems, like crime and hunger and disease and corruption!!! These people have the attitude of "screw all that other stuff, the REAL crime is Boise playing for the title!" It's literally insane. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 29, 2010, 8:33 pm

Sagging - Random Topics
I hate to say this, but sagging was in when I was in high school--20 years ago. In other words, it might be the longest lasting modern fashion trend of all time. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 29, 2010, 8:29 pm

Dana Carvey - Celebrities
I would wonder whatever happened to him, but I'm afraid he'd launch some lame "comeback" like every other celeb over 45 and I'd really just prefer to remember him the way he was--worlds funnier than any so-called "comedian" these days. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 29, 2010, 8:25 pm

Bob Knight - Celebrities
KIngbk, of course Knight ran a clean program, everybody was too afraid of him beating them up, even the AD and president of Indiana!!! I've always found it every interesting that Mike Krzyzewski played under Knight and was recommended by him for his first coaching job at Army and even the Duke job I think and yet is absolutely NOTHING like him, no bullying, no temper tantrums, none of that, and is a more successful coach then Knight was. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 29, 2010, 8:22 pm

Pelirojo, a young Grace Kelly??? Seriously??? Even *I* never went *that* far. Lord I miss the days when sexy women were also classy, and sexy *because* they were classy, and I wasn't even alive for them! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 29, 2010, 8:15 pm

Don't look now, but I could swear I heard this abomination again in a recent ad... The first few times I heard this I swear I thought the chorus was "Hey, Margarita". -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 29, 2010, 8:12 pm

Street Fighter - Random Topics
All I know is one of my friends was the biggest SF fan ever, and bought SF4. Now he hates it and will likely never play another SF game again. I'm old enough BTW to actually remember playing the FIRST version in arcades. Now THAT's old school! LOL -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 29, 2010, 8:10 pm

1990's - Random Topics
MCS, I disagree about when the 90s officially ended. Just like "the sixties" was really just '65-'69, the 90s were really just from '91 to '97. In '97 and '98 things started going downhill and then bottomed out in '99 when all of pop culture boned the fish. And who put divorce as a reason? The frequent divorce phenomenon actually started in the 80s. Half the kids I went to school with were from broken homes and I graduated high school in '91. I even remember the school counselor asking me if my parents were still together for graduation arrangements, that's how common divorce was even back then. And also, kids of the 90s never really got the chance to imitate the 60s because the baby boomers saw that my generation was the first one to really question authority since those days and because THEY were now in authority they did their best to stamp us out, including attaching the derisive and dismissive "Gen X" label to us--and then turning around and spoiling the generation right after us rotten!!! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on September 29, 2010, 8:07 pm

Transformers - Movie Series
This Rosie Huntington-Whitely person surely can't be any WORSE at acting than Megan Fox, and she almost *has* to be less of a diva. So as far as I'm concerned it's a net gain. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 30, 2010, 6:29 pm

Moderators (Internet Forum) - Random Topics
It honestly depends on the particular mod. I've seen some that were the worst. They'd let their personal circle of friends bully anyone else who wasn't with no consequences whatsoever while anyone not in the Inner Circle would get banned for literally no reason. Then there's mods who literally refuse to do anything about people ruining a board, because they're just too scared to "abuse" their power. A good mod is hard to find. But they're out there, you just have to spend a lot of time looking. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 30, 2010, 6:27 pm

Mel Gibson - Celebrities
And of course absolutely nothing's going to happen to him, because when a Hollywood liberal makes racist comments it's perfectly fine, even if he's white. Can you imagine how much any of OUR lives would've been ruined if WE had said those things? Oh yeah, his extortion story is *totally* believable--NOT!!! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 28, 2010, 10:11 pm
