Amy Winehouse - Music Groups
SAME HERE LRBLOOM!!! So far I'm really buying what you're selling. Yet another so-called singer or actress who people insist has talent but is known for everything EXCEPT it. Can't all these people just be rounded up and sent to an island somewhere? -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 28, 2010, 11:40 pm

That '80s Show - TV Shows
Stephanie, I'm sorry to say I've gotta disagree with you this time. 80s nostalgia kicked in right when the 2000s started. Was it right to suddenly hear almost every song from '89 again everywhere just 11 years later? NO!!! But right or wrong it was rampant, and for a show centered around 80s nostalgia to flop as badly as this one did at a time like that is nothing short of astounding. IMO it's actually way past time for 90s nostalgia to start kicking in, but since the Baby Boomers weren't young in the 90s and most 90s media would remind us all just how lame and corporate-controlled the entertainment industry has really become today I'm guessing the Powers That Be will hold off as long as possible and maybe even skip it altogether. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 28, 2010, 11:33 pm

Eddie Murphy - Celebrities
When you think about it, few celebs have fallen so far so fast without at least one comeback. It's almost tragic to see him go from one of the coolest people on the planet in the 80s to this sad parody ridiculed by all. IMO the true boning of Eddie Murphy occurred when he did a video with Michael Jackson. Seriously, look it up. A more cringeworthy moment you'll never see. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 28, 2010, 11:26 pm

Cheers - TV Shows
Don't you really mean you could take *them* either way, lrbloom? ;-) ^-^ -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 28, 2010, 11:22 pm

Woodstock - Random Topics
Wow, I'd forgotten I even made a comment on this until lrbloom brought it up again. Thanks! :-) As far as me having to defend my earlier point, Chubby Rain pretty much said it all. I just want to add that 99% of the so-called "hippies" were really just conformist sheep who--then and now--only believed what was "in" at the time and never actually stood for any of it, as evidenced by them later becoming the same greedy elitists they claimed to despise and actually forming our current society where conformity is more pervasive than ever! Which makes the original Woodstock and the reasons behind it a complete sham. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 28, 2010, 11:20 pm

Lady Gaga - Music Groups
Who cares if she has talent? That's not why she's famous and nobody knows it better than Lady Gaga herself, hence the over the top looks thing. The truth is, people would worship her even if she literally couldn't carry a tune. The music industry hasn't been about "talent" in at least a decade. Me, I see a walking freak show trying way too hard to be "exhibitionist" and turn my attention elsewhere. I've never heard one of her songs and I suspect my IQ is higher because of it. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 28, 2010, 11:12 pm

Private school - Random Topics
Better than public schools I suppose although American public schools are now worse than those of any other remotely developed nation on the planet so that's not saying much. Growing up, there was a private school in my town that wouldn't admit any blacks and somehow got away with it, at least back then. True story. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 18, 2010, 5:38 pm

Dancing With the Stars - TV Shows
Kingbk, I actually broke up with my live in GF because she insisted on watching this show, among others. Stacy Keibler was the ONLY good thing to come out of this garbage, period. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 18, 2010, 5:34 pm

Cartoon Network - Random Topics
I heard that Kim McQuilken, one of the worst NFL QBs ever, is executive VP of Cartoon Network. That would explain a lot. http://deadspin.com/5690560/the-bottom-100-the-worst-players-in-nfl-history-part-2?skyline=true&s=i -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 18, 2010, 5:31 pm

Sean Penn - Celebrities
Robert, it's because Sean Penn is liberal. Does *that* answer your question? -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 18, 2010, 5:21 pm

Wikipedia - Websites
I saw it!!! It was hilarious. The actual banner ad was all melodramatic, like the future of Wikipedia was at stake and then it turns out to be just a plea for money, like I'd actually give any to them after they boned. LOL I'm sure all their liberal propagandists more than picked up the slack though. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 17, 2010, 6:55 pm

M. Night Shyamalan - Celebrities
This guy is now just one small step above Uwe Boll now as a director, and it doesn't get any worse than that! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 16, 2010, 4:46 pm

Tommy Lee Jones - Celebrities
He doesn't act or seem like a Harvard grad at all, which in and of itself is enough to get a never boned from me! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 16, 2010, 4:43 pm

Knighthood - Random Topics
Salman Rushdie deserves knighthood WAY ore than Elton John or Paul McCartney or however many other celebs have gotten it "just because". Remember, he wrote that book long before 9/11 when we all found out just how savage Muslim extremists can be. I heard that back in the day instead of lightly touching each shoulder with some ceremonial sword people receiving knighthood used to get whacked hard with a real sword. Even if that's not true it just seems cooler :-) -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 16, 2010, 4:42 pm

How I Met Your Mother - TV Shows
Incredibly I am STILL seeing ads for this show. How long's it been on the air now, 7, 8 years? At this rate whoever was supposed to meet the mother won't actually do so until age 50, let alone have the kids! And yes, Alyson Hannigan used to be hot (she was the best thing about that American Pie movie) but now she's got that "worked" look women get when they've been around the block too many times, if ya know what I mean. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 12, 2010, 6:12 pm

Around the Horn - TV Shows
Max Kellerman was HORRIBLE. All I remember about this show was hearing him and Woody Paige scream at each other nonstop. Needless to say I stopped caring or watching after a couple of episodes and I only knew it was still on the air because it comes on right after Jim Rome and my DirecTV guide lists the shows so that it reads "Jim Rome Is Burning Around The Horn" which always gives me a chuckle. Then again I'm easily amused sometimes :-) -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 11, 2010, 12:03 am

Beavis and Butthead - TV Shows
First of all I remember the days ExplodingConsole was talking about, because I was a kid in the late 70s/early 80s, the last time in American history that there was a clear and definite line between kid stuff and adult stuff. Secondly, I actually don;t WANT new B&B episodes because I just know they'd be ruined like everything else old that's being brought back. I don't want to see the characters be reduced to celeb-worshipping drooling sheep who rave about how cool the latest Hannah Montana video is, and I'm pretty sure that's the direction it'll be headed. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 10, 2010, 11:56 pm

American South, The - Random Topics
I live about an hour away from Memphis, and you have no idea how thrilled I am that Memphis was just voted to have the fattest, dumbest, least athletic (seriously) and ugliest people out of 35 major cities in America by some magazine (Travel & Leisure I think). And the worst pizza too somehow. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 10, 2010, 11:51 pm
