Miss America Pageant - Random Topics
FYI, Pelirojo, I was in the Miss Texas Pageant and the scholarship money helped me through college so surely, one can understand why I would endorse this Miss America franchise. Also, it was shown on ABC last year. A major network. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on December 18, 2011, 8:26 am

Miss America Pageant - Random Topics
Lots of people still watch it, Travoltron. It's a great opportunity for young women. It's legitimate...not just "fluff" like those children's pagenatns or the Miss USA franchise. For some reason, this category is listed twice on BTF, so I'll just copy what I put in the other one: The Miss America pageant, is a SCHOLARSHIP pageant: i.e. these girls have to have a brain and a good GPA to even participate. As much as college costs these days, how can that be "outdated"? They aren't pretending to be "pure as the driven snow" and the swimsuit competitions are now done in bikinis. They are not asked "What would you do to save the world" but instead, are asked questions re: current events. And it's not WHAT they answer but HOW articulately and intelligently they answer. The winners and the runners-up on the state level and Miss America level win scholarship money, which allows them to pursue an education. Former winners have become doctors, news journalists, veterinarians, lawyers, etc. Check out the website to see the former Miss Americas' careers: http://www.missamerica.org/our-miss-americas/ -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on December 17, 2011, 9:41 am

Grimm - TV Shows
This show is great and as long as NBC doesn't screw it up by messing with the schedule, it'll be fine. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on December 11, 2011, 10:32 am

Kristin Chenoweth - Celebrities
She is an amazing talent, yet, her speaking voice sounds like she just breathed helium. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on December 7, 2011, 3:31 pm

Grey's Anatomy - TV Shows
I failed to see the fascination with Meredith. How Dr. McDreamy would even look at, let alone, fall in love with, such a boring woman, is not believable. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on December 7, 2011, 3:29 pm

TMZ on TV - TV Shows
I like Harvey; it's the 12 year olds that work for him that think they are the final authority on what's "cool". -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on December 7, 2011, 3:26 pm

Austin, Texas - Random Topics
Austin, Texas is what I call a "Half-Ass" city. the mentality there is very Emo. "Yeah...man...whatevs..." As long as you are covered in tatoos, have a bad attitude, act lazy and apathetic, you'll fit right in. At best, the climate is nice and the geography is pretty but that's about it. Good artists come through Austin to play every now and then, because God knows, there isn't that much talent locally. Where the phrase, "Live Music Capital of the World" came from, is beyond me. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on December 4, 2011, 8:16 am

Three Men and a Baby - Movie Series
This was a cute series; "Three Men and A Baby" and "Three Men and A Little Lady", albeit, totally unbelievable. Three very successful straight men sharing an apartment? OK. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 26, 2011, 2:16 pm

Fatal Attractions (Animal Planet) - TV Shows
I am now convinced, after watching more episodes of this show, that the men who are obsessed with venomous snakes, have small penises. That's the only thing that explains their screwed-up obsession! -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 26, 2011, 9:59 am

Aerosmith - Music Groups
Honestly, anything past "Toys in the Attic" doesn't do it for me. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 20, 2011, 8:37 am

18 Kids and Counting - TV Shows
This just isn't normal. It's GOT to be a type of hoarding. They are no better than those half-wits who own 45 cats. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 12, 2011, 10:29 am

1950's - Random Topics
I wasn't born yet but from what I've heard, it was a pretty cool decade. The economy was thriving, rock music was in its infancy, and things were simple and innocent. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 6, 2011, 10:14 am

Last Man Standing - TV Shows
It may be similar to Home Improvement, but to me, that's a good thing. I always found Tim Allen funny and I like the actress that plays his wife much better than the one who played Jill on Home Improvement. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on October 29, 2011, 10:13 am

Dancing With the Stars - TV Shows
It's nothing but a stupid ass popularity contest! Each "celebrity" has his/her following and depending on how many of said "celebrity's" fans vote, determines whether they stay in the dance competition. It's been made so clear this last season. Just because a couple has high scores from the judges, doesn't mean they get to stay. It all boils down to how many votes they get. This explains why Chynna Phillips is gone and Chaz Bono is still there. Chaz does little more than lift the arms up from time to time and walk around. Guess he/she is rockin' the transgender/lesbian vote. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on October 16, 2011, 9:41 am

CSI - TV Shows
It was brutal with Grissom leaving and it was bad enough watching Ike Turner cover a crime scene and now it's going to be like watching Sam Malone investigate a crime scene. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on September 17, 2011, 2:53 pm

You're right, Dolfan!! Reptilian is an accurate description. However, I'm thinking Donald Duck everytime I see her due to those lips. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on July 20, 2011, 3:36 pm
