Eric Braeden - Celebrities
I loved him as John Jacob Astor in "Titanic". That was great casting. He even looked a bit like the real J.J. Astor. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 16, 2009, 9:14 am

Carol Burnett and Friends - TV Shows
There is nothing in television past, present or future that is funnier than the "Went With the Wind" sketch! Her coming down the stairs with the curtain rod across her shoulders is legendary! -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 13, 2009, 6:55 am

Crank Calls/Prank Calls - Random Topics
Hey SVN, I'm a Texan, too and you're right: nobody can do the prank phone calls like Bo and Jim! -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 12, 2009, 12:00 pm

American Dreams - TV Shows
This show was excellent and had so many places and storylines that could've been used. While it ran "slow" sometimes, it was intriguing and it should've NEVER been cancelled. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 12, 2009, 11:56 am

Nip/Tuck - TV Shows
This show is so melodramatic, it makes a soap opera look like an infomercial! I can't keep up with who's screwing who and who is the baby-daddy of this kid or who married this person and who is out to kill someone and who is really dying and....it's just exhausting! -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 12, 2009, 11:55 am

Miss America Pageant, The - TV Shows
I still can't believe it's not aired nationally anymore. Love it or hate it: this is an American institution! The last time I watched it, it was done in almost an "American Idol" format, with the viewers phoning or texting in their votes. *frowns* Guess I'm a traditionalist. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 12, 2009, 11:52 am

Wonder Years, The - TV Shows
This show was great! For those old enough to have lived in (or through the 60's,) it was nostalgic. The music, the clothes, the dynamics were all a trip down memory lane. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 9, 2009, 2:47 pm

Smart Car - Random Topics
As good of gas mileage as they get, I'd feel like I was riding in a Barbie car. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 9, 2009, 2:37 pm

James Caan - Celebrities
James Caan is just too cool to ever BTF. Anyone that can go from playing Brian Piccolo to Sonny Corleone is an amazingly talented, broad-ranged actor and on tope of that, was and still is very handsome! -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 9, 2009, 2:36 pm

Rats - Random Topics
Rats, while one of God's creatures who definitely have their place in the eco-system (I dunno what), are frighteningly aggressive and hard to control. I've heard stories of rats that are so bold, they would just carry off the box of rat poison in their jaws, instead of eating it. The perfect portrayal of this is in the "DeCon" commercial where this 6-foot man is dressed up in a rat constume, standing in a kitchen, eating peanut butter straight out of the jar and the woman (owner of the house) says: "You disgust me." The rat's reply: "Prove it!" and takes another bite of peanut butter. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 9, 2009, 10:58 am

Stray Cats - Music Groups
The Stray Cats rock simply because they led the Rockabilly Revival in the early 80's. "Stray Cat Strut" and "Rock This Town" are right up there with Gene Vincent's "Race With The Devil" and Ricky Nelson's "Waitin' in School." -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 6, 2009, 2:24 pm

Growing Pains - TV Shows
I think it's great that Kirk became a Christian...that's cool, but he was so self-righteous about it. According to "E True Hollywood Story", where the cast members were interviewed, he threw a fit when a guest-star actress who'd posed for Playboy years before, was being written into the script. From what I gathered from the interviews, he was just so over-zealous about his faith to the point where he wasn't the same person...and not in a good way. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on November 6, 2009, 6:56 am

Sun Tanning - Random Topics
Ah! The days of laying out in the sun covered in baby oil and then the mounds of Noxema used to take the horrible sting from the 2nd degree burns we got; all in quest of the savage tan. In the 70's, it was almost a status symbol to go to school after a weekend at the beach, with a sunburn. Then with the 80's, came the tanning beds and tanning salons and the memberships. "Tan 4 weeks in a row and get the 5th week free!" I wonder if now, there are special offers like that at any dermatologist's: "Get 4 skin cancers removed and get the 5th one extracted for free!!" -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on October 29, 2009, 11:29 am

Just Shoot Me - TV Shows
This show was hilarious! The funniest episode, IMHO, was the ones with Elliot's brother. This guy was a total con-artist, who had fallen out of a tree when he was a kid, and for his entire life since then, pretended to be very "simple" from the head injury, so people would be nice to him. If anyone asked him a question he didn't want to answer, he'd just say "Chicken pot, chicken pot, chicken pot PIE!!" He had everyone totally convinced. Then, he had to come clean because he thought Maya was hot and was wanting to hook up with her and did'nt want her to think he was an idiot. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on October 21, 2009, 11:27 am

Tony Awards - Random Topics
The biggest collection of drama queens in one room all accepting awards like they are doing a scene from "Macbeth". -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on October 21, 2009, 8:55 am

Reality Television - Random Topics
The only reality shows I could somewhat tolerate, were the ones that actually HELPED people, (Extreme Home Makeover, Biggest Loser) but now, even those are all about fake drama. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on October 20, 2009, 2:23 pm

Nanny, The - TV Shows
This show had one of the BEST supporting casts! Daniel Davis (Niles), Renee Taylor (Sylvia Fine), Lauren Lane (C.C.)and Ann Guilbert (Yedda), brought an intelligent humour to this sitcom that otherwise, would've gotten old with the "will they or won't they?" between Fran and Maxwell. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on October 19, 2009, 2:39 pm

Vikings - Random Topics
Vikings make me think of Led Zeppelin's "The Immigrant Song": "I come from the land of the ice and snow..." -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on October 19, 2009, 2:33 pm

Yardbirds, The - Music Groups
So true, Brewmaster! They are totally exempt. "Five Live Yardbirds" is one of my favorite live albums. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on October 19, 2009, 2:28 pm
