I started watching MADtv when it first came out, being a long-time fan of MAD magazine. I too was hoping for the magazine's fun and wild TV and film parodies, and celebrity skewerings. Unfortunately, there were very few of these. MADtv was just another sketch comedy, with many reoccurring characters that wore out their welcome with their first appearance, and to make matters worse, they were used ad nauseam, as if the writers had no new material. Everytime I saw Ms. Swan or Stewart, I immediately changed the channel. The first couple of seasons weren't too bad, they seemed fun enough, but as new cast members came and went, it just couldn't gel into a water-cooler program. -- Submitted By: (Englebert) on February 14, 2012, 9:25 pm

X-Files - TV Shows
I'd agree with most of what AndyC was saying. My favorite episodes were the freak of the week ones. Personally I thought the alien conspiracy became tired after season 6. However the mystery of Samantha's disappearance was very intriguing early on. I especially love the ones where Scully's faith was put to the test. That being said, my all time favorite episodes are "All Souls" and "The Post-Modern Prometheus." X-Files was fun, creepy, and intelligent-never missed an episode-until David left.
