Robin Williams - Celebrities
Robin Williams committed suicide after losing his battle with depression. Despite everything, he was still a funny guy and didn't deserve to die. Depression really is a deadly illness. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on August 12, 2014, 4:30 pm

Westboro Baptist Church - Random Topics
Nobody mourns his passing. You reap what you sow, Phelps. You have a lot of explaining to do, by using the Lord's name to preach hate. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on March 25, 2014, 10:26 pm

Westboro Baptist Church - Random Topics
OK, I'll stay. :) It's also nice to see Dolfan's back. Too bad Soggy's gone, though. :( I love watching the WBC getting theirs, especially from counter-protesters. Meryl Streep - Celebrities
I looked up the accusations against Walt Disney, and people's "proof" of said accusations. Man, talk about clutching at straws. Caricatures of Jews? Give me a break. EVERY nationality/group was caricatured back then...there was no political correctness. Also, when it comes to "Die Fuhrer's Face", it wasn't PRO-Nazi...it was ANTI-Nazi. It was a nightmare in which Donald was forced to work and slave for the Nazis. Walt was also anti-communist, and was suspicious of unions. He didn't fire the animators because they were Jews, he fired them because they went on strike (they felt it was unfair they were being paid less than animators from other studios). Some people use the lack of Israel in "It's a Small World" as proof of his antisemitism. Ironically, these are the same people who feel Israel should not exist. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on January 20, 2014, 4:47 pm

Marvin Marvin - TV Shows
I managed to see parts of a few episodes. If you think Mork and Mindy sucks, Marvin Marvin will make it look like classic episodes of the Simpsons in comparison. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on November 4, 2013, 1:17 am

Not paranoid, Cartooner. Cautious. NSA worries aside, a skilled hacker can gain access to your fingerprints, and we have identity theft. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on November 4, 2013, 1:11 am

Heathcliff - TV Shows
To me, Heathcliff was a mix between Garfield and Dennis the Menace: an orange cat that causes mischief wherever he goes. But yeah, Garfield was/is more popular. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on November 4, 2013, 1:09 am

Youtube - Websites
Johnnydough: Thanks for the Dailymotion recommendation. Though it still has ads you're forced to watch, the copyright restrictions are somewhat lax compared to Youtube. Speaking of YT, they seem to have done away with their random playlisting option. A video ends, and there's no more countdown to the next video, unless it's part of a REAL playlist. GOOD RIDDANCE. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on November 4, 2013, 1:06 am

I think the "no sense of reality" thing means more so that people are unable to connect with reality, stuck in their own fantasy world, instead of doing things they need to do: pay taxes, do chores, etc. But I agree with you saying how reality sucks and VGs are a great break. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on October 8, 2013, 10:07 pm

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic - TV Shows
When I heard about this Brony phenomenon, I thought, "Why are all these adult men obsessed with something intended for little girls?". If you go online, it's nearly impossible NOT to see a MLP reference: avatars, fan art, advertisement, fanfics, you name it. I reunited with an old friend...now he's a Brony. He's totally obsessed with the show, and thinks it's the most awesome cartoon out there. I decided to give it a try. It does a good job teaching kids life lessons. The characters are likeable, even though one's super-annoying. Alas, the show is just average. On another note, if you're over 21, shouldn't you already be familiar with 99% of the morals at the end of each show? If you have kids (like my Brony friend does), then your amazement would be towards how well it delivered the message to them. To each his own, I guess. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on October 2, 2013, 12:37 am

Homework - Random Topics
I remember how some of my friends, who went to a different school, came home with a nice pile of big, heavy textbooks for homework. EVERY SINGLE DAY. No, it's not because they opted to goof off in class, and were forced to pay the price by working at home instead. As a result, what was supposed to be their break and free time was instead spent doing excessive amounts of homework. It needs to stop. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on October 2, 2013, 12:14 am

The sad thing about charities is you have no way to ensure your donations are put to good use, instead of less scrupulous means. Your best bet is to research charities using unbiased sources before donating to them. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on September 20, 2013, 10:22 pm

Lowe's - Random Topics
An update: I had to get a new AC recently, and had two choices: Lowes' or Home Depot. Having visited both (as Lowes' did not have the one I needed), I got to compare the prices. Home Depot has better prices, and I was far more likely to get assistance and help from Home Depot. Blue may be easier on the eyes than orange, but orange is much easier on the wallet than blue. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on September 13, 2013, 6:03 pm

Youtube - Websites
YouTube just gets worse and worse. Behold, the newest "feature": ALL videos have autoplay on them. As soon as your video ends--unless it's part of the uploader's playlist--a time limit will begin for a random video to play. You have ten seconds to click cancel, or it will start. If you fail to click cancel, even clicking Replay won't stop the countdown: as soon as the ten second countdown ends, the random video will override your command to replay. It's now unwatchable. It's as though they hired someone to sabotage their site. Well, Mr. Saboteur, Mission accomplished. If someone knows a better video sharing website, for the love of God, speak up! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on September 13, 2013, 5:59 pm
