Raccoons, The - TV Shows
A cartoon raccoon should, by the identify of his mask, be a bandit, or a Bugs Bunny or Phil Silvers conman. -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 24, 2015, 12:40 am

Josie and the Pussycats - TV Shows
I sometimes wonder if this adaptation (whose crime solving and group elements didn't exist in the earlier comics in the 1960s) wasn't some typical TV merger on purpose, of Phil Spector's girl trios and "Nancy Drew"....a lot of tv shows (Columbia/HB's space age "Partridges" came from an attempted Judy Jetson and Partridge Family in the present (1970s) pair of shows but NO ONE at CBS could make up their mind, so the space age Partridges in 1974, and Josie itself was to be the (what I would think a more interesting concept) "Scooby-Doo"'s original concept with some characters that predates Scooby and that franchise and gang evolved from that with the songs eliminated tioll their relgaiton second season (1970-71, same as Josie) to background songs.BTW Josie had background songs played by the group WHEN THE GANG WAS RUNNING...and you'd see them running AND at the SAME DAMN time playing music...... -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 22, 2015, 11:34 pm

King Leonardo And His Short Subjects - TV Shows
Agreed with Marcus! BTW Mr.Wizard the Lizard's voice was SANDY BECKER (wrongly identified earlier as FRANK MILANO) and is NOT to be confused with DON HERBERT's earlier TV Mr.Wizard's world, which in 1971 DID get a own revival. The very first Leonardo-TTV show. -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 22, 2015, 2:35 am

Diana Ross - Music Groups
Diana Ross may have boned, but never as much as, say, Whitney Houston..but anyway Gaye and Terrell's original 1966 version of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", NUMBER ONE in 1970 by DIANA ROSS, is the one now playing on radio here (SoCal), rather than DIANA's, maybe her image. Bah. Huh! Diana Ross OWNS THE song with all due respect to EVERYONE! -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 22, 2015, 2:33 am

ACT (Action for Children's Television) - Random Topics
Oh yeah. In their fearless cunt-I mean, leader, Peggy Charren's PMS driven 1954 - I mean - 1062 - I mean again 1982 book "Changing Channells" objected to racist black stereotypes yet what about blacks callin' each other the word, and forgive me please, with all due respect to the race, nigger? -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 22, 2015, 2:24 am

Flintstones, The - TV Shows
REALLY needs to be getting away from Seth McFarlane's film, an entire post-original franchise thing and everything about the original and when it boned. The examples quoted from a Jump the Shark poster from the Scottish Site's classic days were some. I think of the show losing its edge as time went on (though final season opener "No Biz like Showbiz" with Pebbles and Bamm Bamm singing to me is a classic; you can have the Betwitched crossovers and most others.) Cheers to everyone, you too shanequia! -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 18, 2015, 3:04 pm

Ally McBeal - TV Shows
BTW I'm the one who voted Courtney Thonre-Smith leaving the show. She could give star Calista Flockhart (as ally to CTS's Georgia) a run for her money with her miniskirt (ESPECIALLY with CTS's blonde hair and very 70s Carol Brady look!) -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on April 16, 2015, 1:45 am

Justin Bieber - Celebrities
I rememeber the Bill Cosby whistleblower's name that I mentioned--Hannibal Buress, of course! Anyway, Natasha Leggerio, Martha Stewart(!!!), Snoop Dogg, Hannibal Buress (the guy that outed Bill Cosby as a pervert), and your guest roast host, Kevin Hart. It was for the most p;art pretty good, though there were some rather soft soaping of JB and after some very satisfactorily nasty assults on Justin, Martha Stewart then kisses him (but was still very good at what she did on that show). Would still love for Amy Schumer, Howard Stern, Lisa Lampanelli, Sarah Silverman, Chris ROck and others to have been there! This has since been rated the top three CC roast (1st being 2011's "Charlie Sheen", 2nd being 2005's "Jeff Foxworthy", and 3rd now the current "Justin Bieber). -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on March 31, 2015, 11:43 pm

Justin Bieber - Celebrities
Anybody see the just-ended Comedy Central Roast of him (March 30,2015?) it was EXCELLENT! BTW It's just rerunning with the church part, if anyone wants to see it (if they either missed it or did not but want to see it again)..oin Comedy Central. Natasha Leggero, Snoop Dogg, that guy who outed Bill Cosby as a jerk (forgot his name), Will Ferrell (as his movie Anchorman/Ron Burgundy character), Martha Stewart (!! by all means the oldest), and your master Kevin Hart! -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on March 31, 2015, 2:10 am

By the way I love Candy Corn and Circus Peanuts....maybe the two MOST attacked candies and seriously, they BOTH need a "BoneTheFish" entry of their own..of coruse every candy does and that it could be a separate candy...Candy...which bones,. -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on March 29, 2015, 8:56 pm

REAL Ghostbusters, The - TV Shows
Hey, everybody, there was an actual organization (and Action for Childrens Television, for once, was NOT involved as far as I know :D) responsible for that second season overhaul..From Los Angeles Times, September 1987 (and I actually READ this when it was published..!) [quote, (c)Los Angeles Times] Diane Haithman, L.A.Times: [Originally Posted September 16,1987]: Saturday mornings on ABC will look a little different this fall. Some of those behind the scenes on this season's programs like the new look. Others hate it--and the force behind it--with a passion. Changes in the way some familiar cartoon characters speak, act and look in ABC's Saturday morning children's schedule, as well the design of new shows, are largely due to the input of a Glendale-based company with a name like something out of a James Bond movie: the Q5 Corp. In developing programs for the new season, third-rated ABC turned to Q5 for help in improving their kid appeal--and their ratings. [unquote] The author then gets to Ghostbusters and quotes trhe outrage among the people working on it...Just put in Google Search, "Q5 Corp." and "Ghostbusters", Q5 being the name of the group. -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on March 29, 2015, 8:51 pm

Yo Yogi! - TV Shows
JAyD, Blab already was a ":kid" like Augie Doggie and Boob. NWA themselves besides being gang members used the forbidden N words (rhymes with the name of Disney's Tigger) but were black themselves..thank god a "kids" cartoon STILL can't use it...I think... -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on March 26, 2015, 8:08 pm

Charlie Brown Specials - TV Shows
In reply to Eugene's comment, Schulz, ironically hated the pleasant, cool-jazz soundtrack originally. This is oft-refered to from day one as using Hanna-Barbera sound effects but I believe this show predated H-B (which was still adding sound FX to its own inventory) in using some of those cartoony sounds (which themselves seem a bit odd in these specials LOL) to HB's library. But by September 1966, there was no zone between Hanna-Barbera and Melendez-Mendelson, the latter dynamic duo being the ones who made all these Peanuts specials since the first. (Then they started using WB and Jay Ward sounds in the 1970s!) -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on March 26, 2015, 8:04 pm
