Oh brother. Here we go again. Did no one learn anything from 'The New Brady Bunch' and 'The Bradys'? Seriously, must we ruin it for all time? -- Submitted By: (Friedrich_Feuerstein) on August 5, 2012, 10:12 pm - (0 votes)

**Filet Knife Alert** - Brady Bunch Reboot In The Works At CBS Behind Vince Vaughn. The comedy will focus on Bobby Brady, a character from the original show, who is now a divorced dad starting a new family with his second wife with children of her own. http://tinyurl.com/cu8a5gw -- Submitted By: (BrewMaster) on August 3, 2012, 10:24 am - (0 votes)

Totally agree Joe. It's called separating the art from the artist. I consider it an important life skill. -- Submitted By: (Friedrich_Feuerstein) on March 5, 2012, 11:04 am - (1 votes)

To those who said the show boned when Mike Brady was gay in real life, you are wrong. Robert Reed was gay, not Mike Brady. Neil Patrick Harris is gay but not Doogie Howser or his character from How I met your Mother. In another light the characters of Will and Jack on Will and Grace were gay but the actors are not. This is a big difference. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on March 3, 2012, 6:00 pm - (1 votes)

The show was just developing during its first 2 seasons. The show was at its sentimental peak the years the family went to Grand Canyon and Hawaii during seasons 3 and 4 (which also saw the kids sing). But season 5 was a fatal disservice as Peter and Jan looked and were of high school age, Bobby and Cindy were of adelescent age, and the arrival of cousin Oliver: The show just went as far as it really could. -- Submitted By: () on February 22, 2012, 10:01 pm - (0 votes)

Haven't we had enough of BB scandals. So they weren't perfect off screen but give it a break. They were all on drugs or gay or severeley depressed and now FH had STD (you look it up). When will we have enough of these celbrity exposes, confessions or whatever from over the hill celebs. Enough already! -- Submitted By: (lrbloom) on June 26, 2011, 3:46 am - (0 votes)

Some people use the curly perms of Mike and Greg as an excuse to bone the Brady Bunch. That was the style of the time, an honestly I think it was an improvement for both of them. They were just too straight and white bread to begin with. The show still sucked though. Cheesy and corny but I watched it because there was nothing else worth watching on the networks. Thank God for Cable and Dish. -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 10, 2010, 1:13 pm - (0 votes)

For me, it was the singing. It was a very obvious attempt to compete with The Partidge Family. Shifting subjects- I always thought it was interesting that Sherwood Schwartzs' first choice for 'Mike Brady' was Gene Hackman. -- Submitted By: (Friedrich_Feuerstein) on February 5, 2010, 9:57 am - (0 votes)

Other than Mike Brady being gay in real life, it was a good show. I still watch it! I love Marcia on there and seeing her and Peter on VH1 after all these years. -- Submitted By: (LauDor08) on November 8, 2009, 11:01 pm - (0 votes)

I loved the Brady Bunch growing up. I understand the hate thrown towards Cousin Oliver but honestly, the show was sinking at least a season before that. The Hawaii mini-arc killed it for me. The fact that it was a mini-arc alone killed it for me. -- Submitted By: (SamuraiPanda201) on July 22, 2009, 12:42 pm - (0 votes)

When Dad and Greg got matching perms, the series moved to the edge of the Mouth of Hell. When Cousin Oliver arrived on the scene, he pushed them into the abyss. -- Submitted By: (GregEichelberger) on July 18, 2009, 2:13 am - (2 votes)

Cousin Oliver was a breath of fresh air compared to Talent Free Dawn Lyn who won "Worst Child Star Of All Time" for her pathetic role as Dodie on "My Three Sons" At least cousin Oliver was cute. Dodie made cousin Itt look pretty. -- Submitted By: (Rebecca) on May 31, 2009, 8:43 am - (0 votes)

They boned a few fish. First when the kids formed a group and started singing at every opportunity. Next when cousin Oliver showed up and annoyed everyone. Lastly was when little Cindy started to visibly mature but they still made her wear those silly pigtails and act like she's five. The most embarrassing episode was when she thought she was the new Shirley Temple and they made her put on a ridiculous little girl dress and carry a large lollypop. The show went about one season past it's time. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on April 20, 2009, 6:32 pm - (0 votes)

SaraGoodwich,
I don't agree that Cousin Oliver was 'hilarious' but I respect your POV.
However; I have to call out your contention that he was from Mike's side. No, in his intro episode, they make it clear he was from Carol's side so that would explain his resemblence to the girls. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on April 14, 2009, 9:50 am - (0 votes)
