Swanpride, it's not about Bone the Fish having its own page. Some loser Wikicrusaders want it so BTF can't even be linked to or even mentioned on Wikipedia anywhere. They've blacklisted plenty of perfectly good websites in the past and once they're blacklisted, it's hard or impossible to get undone. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on July 14, 2010, 9:26 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Nice to see old members come back! I too read the email about BTF's entry in Wikipedia, but I don't understand why it annoyed you. It was only asking if you think BTF is notable on Wikipedia. While you make good points, our gripe isn't limited to their refusal to acknowledge BonetheFish...it's other things, too. Try to put in subject matter which is negative but true about someone or something whose topic a deletionist wants to keep clean, and BAM! It's gone. Try to put it back, and they'll just delete it again. If you go to the discussion page and ask why it was removed, you'll get one or more of the following responses: "I can think of a million reasons why your post deserved to be deleted, it was spam, you're a troll, you're a sockpuppet, you're self-promoting, I'm an admin and I make the rules, your source is unreliable (translation: I don't like it, and my opinion is FACT)" and so on. Well, if we try everything and it fails, all we can do is "get over it". Wikipedia would go back to being great once more if we can just curb these people. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on July 14, 2010, 8:11 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I fear, I won't make friends here with this but reading the whole Wikipedia-discussion I feel like I am in the kindergarten again. The name calling (seemingly from both sites) is embarassing.I tried to ignored it so far, but since I now even get posts about this issue in my mail account, it is time to show my annoyance with the whole issue. Like every other forum Wikipedia has its annoying users...especially those, who are there for ages and seemed to see themselfes as half-gods. But the way, user here are making a fuss because bone the fish doesn't have an own site on Wikipedia is just as bad. Get over it! It will happen sooner or later, and if it doesn't happen at all, who cares? Do you really want to get aknowledged by a "bunch bigoted idiots"? -- Submitted By: (Swanpride) on July 14, 2010, 5:35 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
"ThemFromSpace" has submitted BTF to be blacklisted. Check out his profile, he makes sure everyone knows that he's a wikipedia Nazi...the added bonus is he even speaks German!! Here's my message to the tyrant admins and deletionists: Thank you and your fellow Nazis for ruining Wikipedia for everyone but yourselves. And you people have the gall to ask for donations? Unbelievable. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on July 13, 2010, 6:57 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
This goes out to all Wikipedia admins. SCREW YOU!!! AND the high horse you rode in on, AND your mothers for giving birth to such twatwaffles. And since I'm not registered on your NAZI GERMANY WANNABE site, there\'s NOTHING you can do to or about me, so NYAAH!!! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 11, 2010, 2:35 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
They might make points here and there at times, but for those times that it happens, you got just as many, if not more moments, where these "Moderators" just raise hell, cause trouble, and stuff in their opinions. Main reason why I eventually stopped editing there. I might still do something now and again to fix something up, but some of the other stuff... forget it. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on July 11, 2010, 2:07 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Response to PYLRulz's post: Honestly, what is BrendanFrye's problem? SheffieldSteel should warn him that he's making a personal attack. And BGinOC has a point, why is Gore's sexual misconduct not worthy of mention while Quayle misspelling potato as "POTATOE" is? BrendanFrye also said, "Wikipedia is not a democracy, this vote is meaningless." Uh, no S*** Wikipedia is not a democracy. Thanks to people like you, it's totalitarianism at best. Response to Chubby Rain's post: BTFers pissed off the administrators? HA HA HA!! I bet half the reason is because their powers as deletionists are useless on BTF! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on July 10, 2010, 7:43 pm - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
There seems to be a lot of that going around lately. The users here angering other on the net that is. I take it as a sure sign BTF is doing something RIGHT :-) -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 10, 2010, 7:10 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Ive gotten word from some of our BTF users that are active on wiki that our users have in fact greatly angered some of their administrators, apparently with some of our users comments on this site. Glad to know that regular people can get the wiki robots panties in a bunch. Of course the wiki cowards are more than welcome to sign up here and try to defend themselves as opposed to quietly crying to each other. But of course they won't do that since they boned the fish a looooong time ago. Or can I say that without a citation? -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on July 10, 2010, 4:10 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Im reading the talk page on the Al Gore page. 1. Read the one post from BGinOC. I think its obvious who the troll is, and its not BG. 2. Wow. What a pissing match! -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on July 10, 2010, 12:24 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Sheffieldsteel is just that, a stereotyped bitter wikipedian, guy comes off like an ass, and loses every argument, and "cites" why he doesnt- Fail. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on July 10, 2010, 5:46 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Gonna keep a somewhat neutral stance (though I am leaning a bit towards you guys), but I find that funny that Sheffield is calling thesharkisdead out -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on July 9, 2010, 10:20 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I just don't get it. They need editors to create content. They don't pay these people, and they treat them like crap. Why again should I contribute my time (and the $$$ they want to to donate... yeah, right) again? When some unemployed loser that spends all day on Wikipedia will just delete it? You guys are right about the bias, too. Look at Al Gore's entry-- not one word about the masseuse incident. And they're doing everything they can keep it that way. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on July 9, 2010, 8:44 pm - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
Of course there's still pedophilia stuff there. Can't you see they have more important things to worry about, like making sure their slanted views remain uncontested and keeping BTF off to busy themselves with something as trivial as kiddie porn? They're way past boning the fish, they're boning the fish paste. It's no use trying to inject truth into wikipedia, their deletionists are way more persistent than any of us could ever imagine. Even the co-founder realized this; he gave up and founded Citizendium. Stop supporting wikipedia and go to other wikis. To the BTF staff: I recommend losing the wikipedia links from each and every topic. They don't deserve hits from BTF's visitors. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on July 9, 2010, 6:49 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I love it, I'll wait a few days and give the Wiki Admins- "STOP YOU ARE ATTACKING US BY POINTING OUT OUR FLAWS". I would encourage all of the other Bone The Fish Members to use their wikipedia accounts to join in, or sign up and just deluge these clowns. Frankly, BTF is past the point iof needing sites like Wikipedia to send traffic our way, it's just funny to watch losers like "SheffieldSteel" whine like a bitch with his panties in a bunch. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on July 9, 2010, 6:29 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Unfortunately this site isn't updated anymore, but www.wikitruth.info has great info on Wikipedia. I agree that we should cut all ties with Wikipedia. With their ties to pedophiles having recently been exposed by FOX News (see http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/06/25/exclusive-pedophiles-find-home-on-wikipedia/ and http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/04/27/wikipedia-child-porn-larry-sanger-fbi/ ), they have become quite an unsavory organization indeed. If only they would work on cleaning up the pedophilia half as hard as trying to get people for putting links to BTF. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on July 9, 2010, 3:30 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I'm a member of Wikipedia, but I easily agree with everyone here that the link to this site is NOT a spamlink, and can actually help people become aware of the site. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on July 9, 2010, 10:57 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
"Also, bear in mind that accusing another editor of misconduct - without having any evidence to back you up - is considered a form of personal attack." - quote from SheffieldSteel, Wiki Admin. That's strange, Shef...why didn't you say that to after they accused kb3777 of misconduct and promoting BTF to make money even though they had no evidence to back up the accusation? I knew Wikipedia was loaded with unreasonable and biased admins, but I never knew it was THIS bad. I have a feeling this isn't even a snowflake on the tip of the iceberg. There are other wikis which formed because they were sick and tired of wikipedia's bias, censorship, and deletionism. More power to them. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on July 9, 2010, 8:41 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Hey, BTF nation, get out there and get BTF on Wikipedia. Seriously, the "discussions" you have on the "talk" sections on Wiki are just horrendous, and the "admins" must be real pieces of work in real life, in all seriousness, it's just laughable. YOU VIOLATED 55WDRF!! Go pass some slaw you douche nozzles. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on July 8, 2010, 5:46 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I absolutely loathe Wikipedia and its deletionists. I don't know what kind of advice to give you. If somebody with no life suddenly decides they don't like a certain topic or website, they can devote all their time into trying to get rid of it. These losers learn all the little contradictory rules and can spew wikilaws like "You violated WP:3RR!". They make brown-nose and eventually become an admin and abuse their power, often "speedily deleting" info without even a discussion. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on July 10, 2010, 7:54 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
