TV Shows - Wings

Wings is an American sitcom that ran on NBC from April 19, 1990 to May 14, 1997. Starring Timothy Daly and Steven Weber as brothers Joe and Brian Hackett, the show was set at the fictional Tom Nevers Field, a small airport in Nantucket, Massachusetts, where the Hackett brothers operated Sandpiper Airlines. Exteriors of Nantucket Memorial Airport were used for the show. Interior scenes were filmed on a sound stage at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California, before a live studio audience.

1 I never got the hype over this. It seemed a passable thing to watch once in a while but no great shakes to seek out. Oh, and I disliked how we were supposed to root for the snotty kid bro while jeer at the rival owner merely because the rival owner was fat and older. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on March 30, 2014, 1:46 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 If it makes Quagmire feel any better (outdated reference, I know), I've heard of this show and even saw a few episodes back in the day. -- Submitted By: (ExplodingConsole) on February 25, 2014, 2:45 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 The show was certainly not the same when Lowell left. He was by far my favorite character. He always made me laugh, his ridiculous sayings and his facial expressions. The producers wisely got rid of his intended replacement, that awful Budd after a few episodes, but I was always missing Lowell. Still, I watched Wings because it had become one of my favorite sit-coms despite never achieving break-out status like Cheers or Seinfeld. -- Submitted By: (Englebert) on February 22, 2014, 2:15 pm - (5 votes) - Login to Vote

5 Never really watched the show, but a big boning moment had to be when they had Stuttering John from the Howard Stern show on as a special guest star. Apparently they wanted Howard himself but he kept turning them down, so they were desperate enough to get one of Howard's flunkies on instead. -- Submitted By: (John63btf) on February 3, 2012, 8:16 am - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
6 This show was funny, but I am surprised it was on as long as it was. I really only knew it on USA Network reruns. -- Submitted By: (MCS) on May 7, 2010, 8:37 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
7 This show was never great, but it wasn't awful either. A pretty good way to kill a half hour if nothing better is available. -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 11, 2010, 9:00 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
8 Never was all that interested in the plots or stories on this show. I only watched it to see Crystal Bernard and Amy Yasbeck. -- Submitted By: (Friedrich_Feuerstein) on January 15, 2010, 1:47 pm - (-2 votes) - Login to Vote
