Music Groups - Eagles

Eagles is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California during the early 1970s. Comedian Steve Martin records in his autobiography, Born Standing Up, that Glenn Frey was very particular that the name was Eagles and not The Eagles. The Eagles broke up in 1980, but reunited in 1994 for Hell Freezes Over, a mix of live and new studio tracks. They have toured intermittently since then, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. In 2007, the Eagles released Long Road out of Eden, their first full studio album in 28 years.

1 The Hotel California album is in my opinion quite timeless. Its themes are still relevant today. I like all of their albums, but On The Border is my personal favourite. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on March 28, 2013, 12:07 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
2 Is "Hotel California" the most overrated album in history? I remember listening to it for the first time a few years back and being pretty much underwhelmed. It's a decent LP, but maybe had more of an impact on listeners back in 1976-77 than it does today. -- Submitted By: (John63btf) on January 25, 2012, 6:45 pm - (-2 votes) - Login to Vote
3 Great band that came out with a ton of great hits in the 70s. I like Joe Walsh, but still preferred the band before he joined, when they were more of a country/rock hybrid unlike later, when they became a more AOR styled band. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on October 11, 2011, 12:02 am - (7 votes) - Login to Vote
4 Say what you want about the man but the fact of the matter is Joe Walsh brought The Eagles to life. He may be crazy and sloppy but he is underrated as a guitarist. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on October 10, 2011, 9:26 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
5 I Still remember this as one of the greatest ever bands. They cranked out hit after hit in their heyday, and some of those songs are timeless. -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 4, 2010, 1:06 am - (8 votes) - Login to Vote
