Barack Obama II Comments (You must Login to Comment)

So you plan on voting for the same ol', same ol', instead of voting for something else? If you truly think Obama is right for the job, then ok, I won't argue with you any more on it, but if you are voting for Obama just because "there are two choices", then you are better off not voting -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on April 18, 2012, 4:34 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I can definitely agree, Robert. This is the first presidential election that I'm eligible to vote in, and I'll probably vote for Obama, because, while I do have a few criticisms for Obama (such as his spending), I do have a few compliments (such as the killing of Bin Laden), not to mention that I feel that most of the criticisms that I have with Obama also apply to Romney (and I already have several criticisms for Romney). I also feel that it would be more fair to compare 8 years of Obama to 8 years of Bush than 4 years of Obama to 8 years of Bush. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on April 15, 2012, 12:03 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Well, looks like Santorum is out of the race (mainly due to his daughter's illness), so it now seems that Romney will likely get the GOP nomination. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on April 10, 2012, 4:56 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
If Obama didn't bone before, he has now after authorizing the government to seize pretty much anything of yours they want in a "national emergency" which could be declared at any time for any reason. It's the closest America has ever come to a dictatorship, and it's happening on his watch. http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/executive-doomsday-order-obama-authorizes-gov-to-seize-farms-food-processing-plants-energy-resources-transportation-skilled-laborers-during-national-emergency_03182012 -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 4, 2012, 7:18 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
The way it is with Santorum, I doubt he would be elected anyway. As for voting, you know there are other options. Voting for "the lesser of two evils" just keeps on giving the big two power. If people started voting with their heads, I'd guarantee you some real work would be done -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on April 1, 2012, 1:35 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
That reminds me of something from when Bush was in office, seeking a second term: on a forum, a friend of mine said he'd consider moving to Canada if Bush was re-elected. Another friend on the forum (who was from Canada!), warned him that Canada wouldn't let him in. Anyhow, when it comes to candidates, the best you can do is vote for the lesser of two evils. And if they win, hope they ARE the lesser of two evils. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on March 31, 2012, 1:33 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I'd guarantee ya, if Santorum were to somehow become President, I would give Canada a good hard look, no BS about it. But I think just enough people see him for the nut he is, and he'll not even be close to sniffing the job. Romney just oozes slime. And yes, it seems the Republicans are just looking for pot shot points rather than looking to solve the ills on the country. Sadly, the people slurp it up. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on March 20, 2012, 10:51 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I should've mentioned this in my first post, but I want to mention that Barbara Bush called the current GOP race "the worst race ever." Can't say that I disagree with her, though; Many of the candidates have said statements that could be considered either misogynistic or homophobic (I'm not a woman or gay, but it still annoys me) and, at least as far as social issues go, seem to focus more on "Let's go against anything Obama says or does, regardless on how crazy it makes us look" than "Let's try to improve our country and protect people's rights." -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on March 19, 2012, 10:45 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
While I'm not a big Obama supporter, I feel that he has a decent chance of being re-elected, if only for the fact that I feel Romney and Gingrich aren't any better, and Santorum is worse. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on March 19, 2012, 8:31 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I don't like Obama at all, but the alternatives aren't any better. Romney's too robotic, Santorum's too crazy on the fringe, and Gingrich's time was back in the 90s. I might write in "none of the above" come voting time in 2012. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on March 7, 2012, 12:17 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote

Wow, I never knew that. Gotta love a democracy that literally forces people to vote. (Rolls eyes.) It really is diabolically brilliant how politicians have managed to eliminate any impact voting has by taking away any viable candidate for anyone to vote for. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on August 14, 2011, 3:17 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
@DolFan. You're actually lucky, there is the option to not vote over there. Here in Australia, it is compulsory (ugh!) and there is not a "none of the above" or similar option. The best you can do is a blank ballot. Politics nowadays is a pathetic crock. -- Submitted By: (johnnydough) on August 14, 2011, 3:39 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I'm just hoping there's a "none of the above" option at the voting booth. How can the Republicans be this stupid??? -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on August 13, 2011, 8:48 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
And down goes Obamacare. Between this guy and the loons running for the Republican nomination, I'm going to have one hell of a time making a decision come 2012. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on August 12, 2011, 4:52 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Probably a lock for reelection, esp. if Trump gets the Republican nomination. BTW, have you noticed all the media talking heads saying "Obama" when they mean "Osama" in the last couple of days? -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on May 3, 2011, 9:38 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Catch-22. Leave them in power, you're evil for letting people get slaughtered. Get rid of them, you're evil for causing people to get slaughtered. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on March 29, 2011, 2:55 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Agree guys. I thought the "lesson" from Iraq (and Iran) was that these ME countries "deserve" dictators or monarchs. Dethroning them seems to lead to widespread chaos, religious fanaticism, and violence. These societies simply aren't civilized enough to handle democracy. Besides the fact that with the Libya, both sides of the conflict would sooner see America dead, so why get involved? -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on March 29, 2011, 1:49 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
If anybody's BTF in this whole Libya thing, it's the media. But in a way I'm glad they did because now nobody can ever claim they don't have a heavy liberal bias again and be taken seriously. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on March 23, 2011, 6:45 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
