They've already shown some of this years Super Bowl commercials already. There was one I saw being shown on a news show that was very bad. It had something to do with babies, a classical piece, and Doritos. I hope there aren't any ads featuring gross out gags or ads starring overexposed celebrities. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on January 30, 2012, 10:01 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Let's also not forget about this year's trainwreck of a halftime show. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on February 9, 2011, 7:23 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
The game was good (just missed my personal top ten though) but in every other conceivable way the Super Bowl this year was the epitome of everything that's so horribly wrong with America. It's starting to reach the point where they might not even HAVE a game anymore, just this big superfluous "event" where tasteless ads are shown while celebs gather in yet another new monument to greed--I mean stadium to text and tweet each other about what everyone's texting and tweeting about. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on February 9, 2011, 3:50 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
I think it might have boned this year. Even though the game was a close one, a bunch of things kind of bored me this year with the game. Though some of the ads were good, many of them were playing on this "futuristic" theme that got into that whole "too much technology" trend that bothers me of late. Also, there's just too much now. The National Anthem was a travesty (Christina, your 15 minutes are up!), all the extra stuff just gets on my nerves, and then having the game in Dallas. Sorry, I don't think every city that builds a new stadium deserves a Super Bowl. Go back to the old tradition of having it in 3-4 cities in warm climates and fun environments. Dallas was cold and Jerry Jones screwed up the seating for many fans. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on February 7, 2011, 8:08 am - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
The Super Bowl will definitely BTF forever this year when it's the Evil Empire Patriots whose QB has the Justin Bieber haircut facing off against the team whose QB is a convicted dog killer. That'll be it for me. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on January 5, 2011, 6:59 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
it boned a bit with the infamous super bowl XXXVIII halftime show (witch produced by MTV) with nelly grabbinghis crouch, then kid rock wore the american flag as a shirt (or something like that) but it btf where boobiegate or "woredrobe malfuction" but Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson (while her brother at the time he was awaiting trial for Child Moltation) -- Submitted By: (thedude19766) on January 5, 2011, 1:29 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The games themselves are actually better than ever. The ads on the other hand...I remember when they used to be genuinely entertaining, and got me through some putrid Super Bowls in the 80s and 90s. Then it happened. January of 2000, Titans-Rams. They just suddenly stopped being entertaining that year and ever since. It's a night and day difference between the ad quality before and after that Super Bowl. I used to be bored by the game and watch the ads, now I watch the game and mute the ads! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 27, 2009, 7:00 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The Super Bowl is an annual chore to watch. It is considered un-American if you don't watch it but it is so boring. There are too many commercial breaks and while the commercials are funny,t hey too suck after halftime. Also, it is usually such a slaughter that you know who will win by halftime, which usually feature terrible acts. -- Submitted By: (MCS) on April 18, 2009, 8:16 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
