Geico Commercials Comments (You must Login to Comment)

Just about every commercial break has a Geico ad thrown in somewhere. I can't stand the pig (seriously, what the hell were they thinking when they came up with that?), the gecko is eh, the "did you know" stuff has gotten stale, and there were some "happier than" ones I liked (e.g. Gallagher at a farmer's market, Slinky on an escalator). That said, the commercials in general don't convince me to give Geico a shot. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 5, 2014, 12:42 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
That pig. Ugh. He's worse than the gecko! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on October 2, 2014, 1:09 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I would call the Gecko the most annoying subject on TV today but Flo the Progressive Insurance Witch (and another word that ends in i-t-c-h) is worst. The Geico pig is also stupid. -- Submitted By: (mlarsen13) on May 8, 2013, 6:49 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
You almost got your wish: The Gecko found himself in a desert with falling props (piano, etc.). The roadrunner ran over, stopped to greet him, then ran off, followed by Wile E. Coyote, who stopped to get a better look at the gecko. He imagined the gecko as a roasted chicken, then was crushed by a falling safe. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on September 19, 2012, 1:34 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I'm waiting for a hawk to swoop down and eat that damn gecko. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on September 17, 2012, 5:26 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
@stryker73: To be honest, I haven't a Geico commercial with the cavemen for quite a while. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on September 16, 2012, 6:16 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
RETIRE THE CAVEMEN ALREADY! They're NOT FUNNY.. seriously, get some ideas for a new mascot to sell your crappy insurance company..which btw, i'd be paying more with them than what i'm paying now (yes, i checked out of curiosity) -- Submitted By: (stryker73) on September 14, 2012, 5:58 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote

I don't have as much of a problem with Geico or their commercials as I do for the fact that they're shown almost all the time. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on January 17, 2011, 9:25 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
G overnment E mployee I nsurance COmpany Now you know why it sucks. Annoying, useless, dysfunctional. Just like government employees. -- Submitted By: (CharlesKim) on April 14, 2010, 8:07 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Don't turn on the radio either...GEICO commercials abound there as well. -- Submitted By: (neo11) on June 17, 2009, 10:21 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
How often do I see a commercial for Geico car insurance? Every single commercial break. Read that carefully: EVERY. SINGLE. COMMERCIAL. BREAK! The only way you could miss their commercials is if you're watching PBS or one of those commercial-free movie channels on cable, or avoiding TV altogether. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on June 14, 2009, 6:53 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Though the Mockney Gecko's an improvement over the Interrum Silent Gecko (who let the aappearantly personality-free CEO do the talking),NEITHER of them beat the Original Gecko with Kelsey Grammer's voice! And the Cavemen were only worth a feeble, labored chuckle the very first time. IMO,Money Pile With Googly-Eyeballs campaign should have been booed out of the agency boardroom instead of foisted on the public ! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on April 26, 2009, 4:08 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I first heard of Geico in a mail advertisement, circa 1996. I found a little form that compares the insurance you have now versus that of Geico, plus price comparisons, and how much you can save. I first found their commercials on a local station in early 1998, back when it was "Geico is better than ACME Insurance". From there, the commercials got funny and clever, and suddenly, I became a big Geico fan! Now we have the Gecko, the Caveman, and Kash (with the big "googly" eyes)! 11 years later, I'm still enjoying these ads! I wish Geico made a DVD of every commercial ever made! -- Submitted By: (SVN) on April 18, 2009, 9:03 am - (-2 votes) - Login to Vote
