Critic, The Comments (You must Login to Comment)

It was excellent in the 90s, but boy do we need The Critic to come back ASAP! Jay would certainly have many snarky comments to make on these excessive and unnecessary Hollywood remakes! -- Submitted By: (TomPettyFan) on May 29, 2018, 7:01 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
One of the funniest shows ever made, never should've been cancelled. I have no idea why it didn't catch on. I think it would have done better now with the popularity of cable, they could've had it on Comedy Central or FX. The webisodes were bad and lame though unfortunately. -- Submitted By: (loverocket) on July 22, 2014, 3:36 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I remember that a week after they did "Hunch", a musical based on "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", Disney announced the same thing as their next project. It led to some (probably unfair) jokes when the trailer hit theaters. -- Submitted By: (Hateaol) on March 17, 2014, 6:39 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I remember when this show came out, it was not well-liked, but I enjoyed it just fine. Jon Lovitz was perfect as Jay. The writing was often funny, though it sometimes went a bit overboard like with Jay's rich father doing impossible activities. This show was best when it mocked Hollywood movies and Hollywood celebrities. -- Submitted By: (Englebert) on February 22, 2014, 1:26 pm - (4 votes) - Login to Vote

Still rocks today, and some of the jokes still hold up. I still get a laugh out of the Escape From the Big Apple video game from the first episode. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on June 23, 2010, 4:32 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The only problem I had with this show is that, like a lot of others around this time, it had the male lead they were trying to portray as a hopeless loser scoring on a regular basis. Other than that, this show was hilarious. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 29, 2009, 4:40 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

Im going to pick a Fish Bone about Battle Angel being a future Fish to be Boned with James Cameron. "Gunnm" or "Battle Angel as it is known in the states is one of the best, if not the best Manga series ever produced, and James Cameron at the helm too? There is a chance that it could be really really good- it might suck... but Gunnm and Cameron? Lets not dish it out too hard until we see the goods, if it sucks, Ill be the first to stick a fork in that boned fish! -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on April 29, 2009, 12:31 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Seconded, never boned. I wish that the Jay Sherman character would come back to piss on real movies in real life: with some of the bad movies that are slated to come out and have been out recently (Street Fighter, Dragon Ball Z, Thundercats, Battle Angel), he is sorely needed. However if they do something like that, it won't work unless Jon Lovitz is doing his voice. -- Submitted By: (castaghast) on April 29, 2009, 12:26 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
