If "Puppies in a Box" were a real channel, I'd tune in. Too Cute doesn't work for me because of the cutesy commentary. All you need is puppies or whatever in a box and a bit of instrumental music maybe. Something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGaGlpsL__w&feature=relmfu No commentary or humans needed at all. Earl Snead Sinclair may have been a TV programming genius after all. -- Submitted By: () on September 17, 2012, 1:49 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Is this the show where the dino dad wound up being responsible for the extinction of ll dinosaurs by screwing up somehow, and the end was basically all of them sitting around waiting to die, knowing it was inevitable? I also remember an episode where the teen son suddenly gets really muscular (coughsteroidscough) and aggressive, before everything went back to normal by the end. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on May 22, 2012, 8:09 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I watched the first few episodes when it debuted and wasn't all that impressed. It just seemed like rehashed Flintstones to me. Years later when I was overseas and desperate for English-language programming, I noticed Dinosaurs of all things was airing, so I started watching it. At some point, the show broke off and found its own voice and got pretty good! One prescient episode that I remember had Earl working as the head of a TV network. He created all kinds of shows aimed at the lowest common denominator and they were huge hits, but was making the population dumber as a result. This was years before reality TV! The only show of his I remember was "Puppies in a Box" which is pretty similar to the current show, "Too Cute" on Animal Planet. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on May 17, 2012, 7:58 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
This was one of my all-time favorite shows. Gotta love the Grapdelites' attitude towards the food chain and their imminent ectinction - It's our own fault for being delicious... http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Grapdelites -- Submitted By: (baldrick) on May 22, 2010, 1:02 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
this show was awesome, but i have to admit that as a child, certain characters and plots pertaining to this show scared the hell out of me! earl's boss was large and intimidating... and the episode where that little furry critter becomes earl's friend when he's lost in the woods.... and then he eats him? weird! -- Submitted By: (jenovaDEATH) on September 7, 2009, 12:31 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Being the dinosaur nut that I am, I adored this series. I don't think I ever missed an episode. I hated the ending. Of course, there's no other way it could have ended. -- Submitted By: (SilverFang) on August 7, 2009, 10:54 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Coincidentally, the voice actor for the baby, Kevin Clash, also did the voice for Elmo. I'll give the baby a little credit: Elmo is waaaay more annoying than the baby ever could be. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 2, 2009, 8:17 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
This was a very funny show, although at times the baby could be annoying. -- Submitted By: (MCS) on May 1, 2009, 8:50 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
