Birdman and the Galaxy Trio is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon which debuted in 1967. Birdman is a superhero capable of flight who has bestowed superpowers from the sun god Ra. As a result, he must be exposed to sunlight in order to replenish his powers. His sidekicks include a purple falcon named Avenger, and a young boy found on a shipwreck whom he bestowed with his powers and christened Bird Boy.
