Music Groups - Electric Light Orchestra

Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) were a British rock group from Birmingham who released eleven studio albums between 1971 and 1986 and another album in 2001. ELO were formed to accommodate Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne's desire to create modern rock and pop songs with classical overtones. After Wood's departure following the band's debut record, Lynne wrote and arranged all of the group's original compositions and produced every album. Notable songs include "Can't Get It Out of My Head", "Showdown", "Evil Woman", "Strange Magic", "Livin' Thing", "Telephone Line", "Rockaria!" and "Do Ya".

1 Never boned. They put out a lot of great music, though I never cared for All Over The World from the Xanadu soundtrack. Ever notice that Hold On Tight sounds a lot like What Have They Done To My Song Ma? Incidently, both songs have a verse sung in French. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on December 5, 2012, 11:45 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
