Revenge is an American television drama that airs on ABC. It is inspired by the Alexandre Dumas novel The Count of Monte Cristo and stars Madeleine Stowe and Emily VanCamp. It debuted on September 21, 2011. The show centers around Amanda Clarke, going by the alias Emily Thorne, who rents a home in the Hamptons one summer to seek retribution against the Grayson family, a powerful family who framed her father for a crime he didn't commit.

One of the new shows I admit to loving this year. The best serialized primetime soap since the early 90's, but unlike other soaps, with a thriller slant. Every week reveals new twists and turns, and the characters are very human in their flaws, emotions, and overall development. There's no question the Grayson family is evil, but is the protagonist Amanda Clarke/Emily Thorne evil herself for her ruthless plan? Also, I worry about how you can keep this storyline going for multiple seasons. I see this as a two season, three seasons top, kind of show before it begins to drag out.
