1 Think about why anyone learns a different language at any age - to communicate with those who speak that language. It's the same as learning Spanish, French, etc... It's not to replace speech. -- Submitted By: () on November 7, 2011, 12:00 pm - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
2 I disagree. Infants you might have a point, but for toddlers (and up), why not? Especially when it's known that at young ages, kids can easily soak up information, and learn something basic that they can build on in later life -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on April 11, 2011, 5:14 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 OK, this irritates me to no end!!! Unless a child is hearing-impaired or they have a relative who is hearing-impaired, or your child happens to be a gorilla or chimpanzee, what is the purpose of this? Do you want your child to grow up to not know how to talk? Really? This trend seems to be the idea of lazy-ass Yuppie parents who just don't want to hear their child ask for something and as an added bonus, it's some cute "pet" trick the child can do in front of company, since said lazy-ass Yuppie parents only view their offspring as "pets" anyway and don't care about stifling or impeding the child's vocal and social development. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on April 11, 2011, 12:36 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
