Red Hot Chili Peppers are a Grammy Award-winning American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1983. For most of the band's existence, the members are vocalist Anthony Kiedis, guitarist John Frusciante, bassist Michael "Flea" Balzary, and drummer Chad Smith. The band's varied musical style has fused traditional rock and funk with various elements of punk rock, and psychedelic rock.

Still going strong? Are you kidding me? The RHCP have fallen, way, WAY down from the funk roots. Playing poppy, poopy clearchannel crap they would not of dared to before. They have seriously lost thier way. Go back and listen to Freaky Styley and compare it to the watered down commercial repetitive crap they are cranking out now.

I saw them from the front row in '03, or '04. Bryce Jordan Center in State College.
Simply put, amazing. They put on one hell of a show.
