A cigar is a tightly-rolled bundle of dried and fermented tobacco that is ignited so that its smoke may be drawn into the mouth. A cigar differs from a cigarette in that the cigar is typically unfiltered and not drawn into the lungs; it also tends to be a larger diameter and length than cigarettes.

A cigar once in a while is okay I imagine, especially since most of the time people don't inhale them. Doing it more often than that though is probably just as bad as smoking cigarettes if not worse. It's people that are delusional and think smoking cigars in place of cigarettes is going to be healthier that I have a major issue with. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on November 1, 2011, 7:22 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote

True enough. (I have had to use that Freud quote dozens of times over the years on people who spend too much time and energy trying to read between the lines.) Nor am I a frequent smoker; I average maybe one nice Macanudo or Montecristo every two months. (I don't smoke cigarettes at all.) Maybe they'll catch up to me someday, but I'm not losing any sleep worrying about it. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on May 5, 2011, 3:24 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
soggy, even premium cigars can bone one's mouth, throat and lungs with cancer- which is I only smoked one to celebrate the New Millenium and have no intention of doing it again for another 989 years!. Regardless of the PSA, keep in mind that even Sigmund Freud himself said that sometimes a cigar is ONLY a cigar! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on May 4, 2011, 3:32 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
A cheap cigar may as well be renamed a Fish Boner. A premium cigar is incapable of boning. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on May 4, 2011, 7:58 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
