Bristol Palin... the gift that keeps on giving. A second pregnancy? Nice Christian values there sweetie. -- Submitted By: (JustLooking) on July 13, 2015, 10:41 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I said before that a person should not become fair game just because they're related to a politician people hate (actually children, but now I'm being more inclusive). However, she's fair game now. NOT because she's the daughter of Palin, but because she's a celebrity by choice in signing up for a reality show deal (she's at the age where she can make her own decisions). I'm no fan or hater of Bristol, but yet ANOTHER reality show? Come on! There are enough of those already! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 11, 2011, 10:48 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Disagree (are y6ou surprised at this point? LOL) When she was a kid being bashed for something that the liberals had actually encouraged everyone else to do, that was BS. But this is different. This isn't the "teen mom" thing anymore, anyone who joins/forms a reality show of their own free will deserves bashing for that and that alone. It matters not what we would hypothetically do at a hypothetical age, she's the one actually doing it, not us. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on May 11, 2011, 5:17 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
The path she has chosen - the reality show - is one that all too many young people in her position would choose. Is it a wise choice? I don't think so. But should that choice make her an object of my contempt? No. How many of us, if offered the opportunity at age 20 to be on a dancing-competition show, or to give a speech for tens of thousands of dollars, or to host our own TV series, would say "No thanks; I think I'll do some more growing up first"? -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on May 11, 2011, 2:43 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
The irony here is that libbies created the very climate that made teen pregnancy socially acceptable to begin with, and in EVERY other case they'd have absolutely no problem with it. But when it's the daughter of someone on the opposite side, then all of a sudden she's a whore. Puh-LEASE. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on May 10, 2011, 6:50 pm - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
She's signed for her own reality show. While I agree with you guys that people shouldn't project their hatred of political figures onto their minor children, there comes a time when these children grow up and start making their own decisions. Bristol Palin is 20 years old and has chosen the path of reality show star. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/bristol-palin-lands-new-bio-186589 -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on May 10, 2011, 5:27 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Bottom line for me: Bristol Palin has done nothing to earn my hatred. If she has made some questionable choices - and I'm talking about her various high-profile activities, not her teenage mommyhood - they are choices a good many other young women (or young men) in her position would have made. True, I don't like her mother, and I'm pretty underwhelmed by her father too. But beating up on a kid like Bristol - or any other teenager who isn't engaged in criminal activity - is a no-class thing for a grownup to do, and critics of her mother really need to consider whether they want to travel down the same low road as those rightwing pukes who mocked Chelsea Clinton back in the '90s. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on May 9, 2011, 10:41 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I couldn't argee with you more Robert. They can disargee with Sarah Palin and Obama all they want but when they started to picking on children especially minors base on who they related to then that's going too far. BTW, just a moment ago, before I clicked on the comments, one of sponsored ads called Townhall.com had Sarah Palin face on there (along with Mick Rimmey and others I don't know). That's kinda spooky! -- Submitted By: (SSM) on April 26, 2011, 2:48 pm - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
Children are NOT fair game. Period. Leave Palin's kids alone, and leave Obama's kids alone. One guy called Trig Palin (who has down syndrome) "retarded" for no other reason than being the son of Sarah, whom he hates. Trig's only a toddler! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on April 26, 2011, 10:50 am - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
I think Bristol is doing the best she could under extreme circumstances. Yes, she was thrust into the spotlight when Sarah was nominated for VP but I think she using that spotlight in a good way to teach young girls it's not fun nor okay to have a baby when you are 12-18 years old. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on April 25, 2011, 3:30 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I somewhat disagree. Unless her mother is that coniving and evil that she is pretty much forcing her daughter into the spotlight, all she has to do is just try her best to stay out of the spotlight, not take up every single offer out there to whore herself out there. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on April 25, 2011, 3:21 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Some people manipulate their surroundings, and some people are swept along by them. Sarah Palin is in the first group; her daughter is in the second. I see no cunning or calculation in Bristol's actions; I think she is simply a young woman dragged into the limelight by her association with a deeply ambitious mother. I won't say she has been "used" by her mother, precisely, but it's undeniable that she's been used by a good many others looking to capitalize in one way or another from the Palin name. (For example, the producers of Dancing with the Stars.) As such, I think she is just a more or less decent kid trying to make her uncertain way in the world of sudden fame, and is mostly innocent of the charge of attention-whoredom (though her mother is not). -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on April 24, 2011, 10:16 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Since Bristol doesn't seem ambitious maybe we can be spared the possiblity of someone giving her a tv show or movie contract. Let's hope she doesn't do drugs. -- Submitted By: (lrbloom) on February 24, 2011, 7:03 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Something tells me that Bristol being in the limelight is more forced upon her by her mother than anything, but if that's the case, she should just tell Sarah to bugger off, and then continue on the road of anonminity. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on January 16, 2011, 9:35 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Robert, I totally agree. -- Submitted By: (Northeastern292) on December 13, 2010, 7:21 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I really wish someone would settle the whole "Bristol is Trig's real mother" theory. Bristol's loser ex (whatever his name is) might know the answer. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on November 26, 2010, 2:09 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
The Palins are getting WAY too much media time: Sarah's new reality show, Bristol Palin on Dancing with the Stars. Did you know some guy shot his TV set over Bristol being on Dancing with the Stars? -- Submitted By: (Robert) on November 23, 2010, 5:57 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Agreed MCS. She and the rest of her fame-whore family can fade away any time now. Their 15 minutes were up a long time ago. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on November 22, 2010, 3:46 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Is anyone else sick and tired of this family? At least Sarah did a little something in her life. What has Bristol done? Let's see, she got knocked up. That's is all she really has done to become famous. Then she goes around and tells people how hard it is to be a teen mom when she seems to be away from the kid most of the time and has so much more money than most teen moms ever will have. -- Submitted By: (MCS) on November 21, 2010, 1:08 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
