TV Shows - Spin City

Spin City was an American sitcom television series that aired from September 17, 1996 until April 30, 2002 on the ABC network. Created by Gary David Goldberg and Bill Lawrence, the show was based on a fictional local government running New York City, and originally starred Michael J. Fox as Mike Flaherty, the Deputy Mayor of New York. The show was cancelled in 2002 due to low ratings from the 2001-2002 season and a change in target demographics.

1 This has got to be the most obvious show when asking when it boned the fish. The Foxman cannot be replaced. Especially with the likes of Charlie Sheen. Charlie has his own brand of weaselly charm, but you cannot just replace an icon like Mike. -- Submitted By: (Englebert) on February 22, 2014, 2:06 pm - (4 votes) - Login to Vote
2 I have to agree with both Pelirojo and Kingbk. Michael J. Fox's departure caused this show to bone. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on May 8, 2012, 4:45 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 I have to agree that when Michael J. Fox left, it boned because one could sense that as much spinning the character did, he was, underneath it all, a decent and principled person. Charlie Sheen's character just seemed snotty, glib and could have written his code of ethics on a bee's knee and still have left plenty of room for the World Book Encyclopedia! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on December 18, 2010, 2:38 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
4 I watched this show sporadically when I was younger. It was pretty funny for the most part and good entertainment. Definitely the boning moment was when Michael J. Fox left the show. He was the show and it wasn't nearly as enjoyable when he was gone. Charlie Sheen was not nearly as charming or fun to watch. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on August 14, 2010, 9:36 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
