1 To be honest, the episode in which this program was the episode when Beckett left the program halfway through Season 3. After that, it was downhill. Sam annoyed me. And once they came to the last season, the damage had been done. This was far worse than what they did in SG1. I could bare the Ori, the mary sue named Sam.... no. -- Submitted By: (Tobywaud) on November 4, 2010, 2:06 am - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
2 For me, the show started going downhill at the start of the 4th season. Getting rid of Weir and Beckett at the end of the 3rd season and bringing in Carter just didn't make any sense. You already have a leader in Weir, why would the producers want to bring in Carter? And why get rid of Beckett to bring in Keller? Your replacing a leader with scientist and replacing a doctor with a doctor? wtf?! And lets not go behind the scenes with all the politics about Tapping and Higginson. Here you have Tapping who just did 10 years of SG1, and she goes into Atlantis, kicks out Higginson and Tapping only stays with Atlantis for 1 season! I mean, she comes in, basically takes over another actresses job and then leaves to do her own show! Who's getting screwed here? And its not like Carter added anything to season 4. She didn't do anything that Weir could have done! Jumped the shark in Season 4, no thanks to the decisions to get rid of Weir and Beckett at the end of Season 3. -- Submitted By: (buffy) on May 4, 2010, 4:45 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
3 Oh come ON!!! Nobody else voted day One??? An INCREDIBLY lame ripoff of SG1. Here's Rodney the incredibly annoying whiny scientist who somehow winds up saving the day at the end of most episodes--when it was his screwup that created the problem to begin with! Then there's Teyla the Rebel Idealist With A Cause--who also happens to know martial arts like every other stereotypical ass kicker chick in every other movie and TV show these days. Then there's the "stoic warrior guy" who couldn't hold Teal'c's jock. And hey look, there's Amnanda Tapping's character from SG1, only now she's some sort of Superwoman who can do everyone's jobs better than they can! I didn't even really like Weir. And soul-eating space vampires? I'd rather see the Ori again, and I couldn't stand them! Oy... -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on May 3, 2010, 2:53 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
4 SGA first season was the best season of any stargate to date in my opinion. But Season 4-5 boned the fish big time. I never really liked Mckay and hated him by the end of the season. Shepherd's suicidal safe the day antics became cliche and unrealistic. By the end of the show all I loved about Atlantis was lost! -- Submitted By: (dauntless) on April 30, 2010, 3:58 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
