Random Topics - Common Era
Common Era, abbreviated as CE, is a designation for the world's most commonly used year-numbering system. The numbering of years using Common Era notation is identical to the numbering used with Anno Domini. Dates before the year 1 CE are indicated by the usage of BCE, short for "Before the Common Era". Common Era notation has been adopted in several non-Christian cultures, by those wishing to be sensitive to non-Christians, because Common Era does not explicitly make use of religious titles for Jesus, such as Christ and Lord, which are used in the BC/AD notation.

Boned from day one. It sounds stupid (what else do you expect of the PC bunch) and it's nothing more than thinly-disguised censorship. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on June 26, 2012, 6:01 am - (0 votes)

First place I saw it was Wikipedia. Totally stupid because not only are they still using the same exact allegedly "Christian" numbers, but Jesus wasn't even born in 1 AD, but around 4 BC. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on December 17, 2011, 5:07 pm - (0 votes)
