I thoroughly enjoy the historical aspects of the show but cannot stand when they show the characters going off and doing completely unrelated things. It is not funny or interesting and takes away from the purpose of the show! Does anyone know if there will still be new episodes now that the old man has died? -- Submitted By: (TomPettyFan) on November 15, 2018, 8:19 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I love Rick Harrison but the rest of those obnoxious turds should be flushed and forgotten! Lose all the staged gags with Corey, Chum, and the Old Man, in fact lose all 3 of them. Let Rick do his thing and wheel and deal for the whole show. I also love the experts, especially Jesse the guitar guy and Rebecca the book lady. The art guy is sorta prissy but seems OK. He's a lot better than Corey or Chum! -- Submitted By: (spacer) on October 23, 2014, 2:07 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
It seems Big Hoss is taking over the show. This season he is doing most of the negotiating and Rick only shows up to do a quick deal every now and then. Too bad, because "Big Hoss" Cory Harrison is the most unlikable, disagreeable, and obnoxious person on TV. Don't the producers notice people generally hate him? They have also made Chum into a cartoon character buffoon and the Old Man into a ghost with a token 10 seconds of air time per episode. Please! Either cancel this thing or bring Rick back as the Main Man! Rick totally rocks! -- Submitted By: (martymarty) on July 28, 2014, 9:37 am - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
It's gotten completely full of itself with episodes about Chumly losing weight or finding a dog or the son going into debt or buying a motorcycle. Who cares?! It's at its best when they just appraise people's "valuables" and that's it. Even some of the recent dialogue and situations are obviously phony. -- Submitted By: (GregEichelberger) on July 22, 2014, 5:34 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
Oh man I thought I was the only one who hates Corey and Chum! Good lord if Chum was as stupid as they make out he should not be handling transactions by himself. Corey is the most obnoxious jerk on TV. I can't stand dudes who 1) slick back their greasy hair, 2) wear their shades on top of their head, 3) call people boss, chief or ace, 4) act like they are doing you a favor by talking to you! Corey does all 4! He is a rich, spoiled, obnoxious jerkoff who would probably be unemployed if it weren't for his dad and the old man. -- Submitted By: (sharp143) on October 4, 2013, 12:20 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
I hate Corey! He is the most obnoxious person ever and if he gave me his condescending crap and called me chief, I'd leave the store and never come back. This show is still pretty good when they concentrate on Rick and the Old Man and their vast knowledge of the business. Lately, like the last two seasons, they have these staged funny scenes usually involving Corey and Chum, it really detracts from the show and makes me want to stop watching. I also read an interview with Rick about how on filming days they close the shop and only allow pre-selected customers inside. It seems like the whole thing is pretty staged. -- Submitted By: (jmac9909) on May 15, 2013, 12:08 pm - (4 votes) - Login to Vote
It's a pretty enjoyable show, however, the next time they run a Pawn Stars marathon, I'm going to track then average out the number of times they say "...but theres just one problem..." in each episode. -- Submitted By: () on May 8, 2013, 5:02 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I don't care if people try desperately to point out that this show is fake. It's a good show, plus knowing that the workers, the location, the building and business itself is real. That's enough for me to not care about the little flaws, usually I'm tired of shows where EVERYTHING is fake. -- Submitted By: (Toasticus) on January 24, 2012, 4:45 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Damn auto correct. Should of been "...you think, geez man!!!..." -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on October 23, 2011, 1:47 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
On the outside, you thing, asses man, yet MORE crap on History Channel?!? But once you watch it, it actually is an interesting show. Yeah, like someone else said, there is the forced humor and such, but it can look past it. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on October 22, 2011, 11:31 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The staff squabbles and forced humor aside, this show has a certain value in that we get to learn about the history of alot of interesting items (and sometimes a little U.S. history too). -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on April 12, 2011, 7:25 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
I like the stuff they bring in and it is pretty cool, except when Chumly adds something to it. I can barely take the other monster calling everybody "man", let alone this fat slob. -- Submitted By: (OlePuddinHead) on November 3, 2010, 12:29 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
Pawn Stars rocks! It's "Antiques Roadshow" for regular people. We all have that treasured antique from Grandma or Grandpa reportedly worth thousands. Rick sets us straight on that. On the plus side, I know where to go to buy a 1960's Gretsch hollowbody on the cheap - my local pawn shop. Like I said, Pawn Stars rocks! -- Submitted By: (smaxie) on May 11, 2010, 2:04 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
