Prince Rogers Nelson (born June 7, 1958) is an American musician. He performs under the mononymous name of Prince, but has also been known by various other names, among them an unpronounceable symbol, which he used as his name between 1993 and 2000, during which time he was usually referred to as The Artist Formerly Known as Prince.

Boned with Cherry Moon, but I loved some of the titles off his Graffiti Bridge (horrible movie) soundtrack. There's thieves in the temple, tonight. My father and I were big fans for time. -- Submitted By: (tvwatcher7) on September 13, 2014, 9:42 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
OK, so am I to believe NOBODY thinks Prince sucked from Day 1? NOBODY? I can think of several people right off the bat just from my HS circle of friends. There has never been anything about this guy's music I found appealing. Annoying effeminate voice superimposed over electronically contrived music. Yeah, I'll spend my money on that.....when doves cry or when pigs fly, whichever comes first. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 24, 2012, 3:11 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I'm not sure how to approach this one. As an artist, Prince has threatened to bone numerous times but hasn't quite gone all the way; his work after about 1992 has been wildly uneven, with some really wretched albums alternating with albums, like Musicology and 3121, that are not much worse than his '80s classics. As a person, however, the guy has been walking around with a well-used fish-filleting knife in his hand for a looooooong time. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on April 23, 2011, 11:57 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
When his weirdness and arrogance overtook his music. That happened in the mid 90s, when he changed his name to the symbol and became a Jehovah's Witness (?) all the while still writing songs with sexually strong lyrics and vulgarity. This man is the biggest walking hypocrite alive. Like his song says, I don't know if he's gay/straight, black/white, man/woman, I don't know. I think that's a part of his schtick, keep people off balance by claiming one thing while doing actions that are completely the opposite of what you claim to be. I still love many of his songs from the 80s-mid 90s, but he's one weird dude. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on April 23, 2011, 8:57 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
The "name change". The whole act of him acting as if is "stuff" doesn't stink, and thinking his work is as holy as a bible itself... that's just extra bones. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on April 23, 2011, 1:57 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
He now wants a law to ban anyone from covering his songs. AFAIK, he's the only one to flat-out refuse to allow Weird Al to parody him. I really can't stand this guy, he thinks his "music" is so sacred. And his songs are written like a 12-year old girl's text messaging. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on April 22, 2011, 3:58 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Prince only had two good songs, Delirious and 1999, but changing his name to an unpronounceable symbol to avoid Warner from abusing his name failed to work for anything, since the media had to start calling him "The Artist Formerly Known As Prince" in order for people to know who they were talking about. In other words, he didn't get rid of the name Prince but ended up adding five words before it. Makes you wonder why he even bothered becoming a performing artist if he has such an attitude about the business. -- Submitted By: (jconifer7) on May 15, 2010, 1:47 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote

Around 2005 I saw the real Prince live in concert, and also a prince imitator cover show in Las Vegas. Sadly the imitation Prince did about 1000% better putting on a "Prince Show", I would pay to see the imitation, not the original, after comparing the two. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on February 1, 2010, 3:31 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
The only musician to commit commercial suicide twice, sequentially. How is a record company supposed to market a pop star with no name? How are his fans supposed to care about a guy who'd rather battle it out in the courtroom with his record company than make music?
