Patti LaBelle Comments (You must Login to Comment)

Day 1. Could never stand "New Attitude", and I renewed my hatred for it when it was used as the opening them for Dr. Laura Slessinger. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 24, 2012, 2:46 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
At this point I'd like to drag her to court LITERALLY. By the hair. On foot. I am genuinely outraged over this, and these days it takes a lot to get me feeling that way, as opposed to the usual cynical resignation I get when I hear about yet another person behaving badly. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 13, 2011, 6:07 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Make it three of us. If I was that cadet, I wouldn't hesitate to drag her to court over that incident. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on June 13, 2011, 8:05 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
That makes two of us!!! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 13, 2011, 3:41 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
The cadet is now suing her. I hope he wins by a landslide. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on June 12, 2011, 8:00 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
So in other words, she's been doing pretty much the same things celebs always do when they've been pushed out of the spotlight. I guess she was so desperate for some REAL attention she had to resort to this. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 10, 2011, 5:50 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Well, Dol, you and I haven't been paying attention to her but she's apparently been quite active since the '80s. In fact, she won two Grammys in the '90s, and has done alot of TV work and written books - including a popular series of cookbooks - and started a mail-order business, besides continuing to make music that neither you nor I have the slightest interest in listening to. Hence the limo and entourage (and arrogance). -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on June 9, 2011, 1:56 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Wow...I'm blown away by that story and it takes a *lot* to do that to me these days, when amoral behavior is the norm. And has Patti Labelle even been relevant since the 80s? How the hell does SHE have a limo and bodyguards??? -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 8, 2011, 7:02 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
It sounds as though Miss LaBelle could USE a 'New Attitude'! Yeesh! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on June 8, 2011, 7:58 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
I knew that she a diva (that bad enough as it is), but what she done to the poor cadet is really low. What is up with some of these celebrities as soon as they hit big, all of the sudden they think they god-like or something and forget us "little people" who put them at the top at the first place. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on June 7, 2011, 1:31 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
A pox on the celebrities who use their fame and status to mistreat people like this cadet. Patti, hope you brought chips for your fish boning. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on June 7, 2011, 12:37 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
A few months ago, as some of you may have heard, Ms LaBelle was sitting in her limo at the airport in Houston when she spotted a young man who appeared to her to be standing too close to her luggage, which was on the sidewalk. She ordered her bodyguards to take care of the situation, so one of them gave the young man a violent shove. Naturally he sought to protect himself, whereupon all three of LaBelle's bodyguards gave him a good beating. It turns out that he was a West Point cadet, home on leave; he'd had no designs on her luggage, and in fact was talking on his cellphone with his back to the luggage when he was attacked. (An airport security cam caught the entire incident.) A West Point cadet, for pete's sake! As far as I am concerned, Patti LaBelle is a lowlife bitch, and her punkass bodyguards need to have their heads cracked open. I hope the young man sues her for every goddamn dollar she's worth and wins. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on June 6, 2011, 9:42 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
Lovely high octane pipes, natural singer, nothing artificial. This is one of the greatest singers of my time in my opinion. She can hit the high notes and she can do it live. -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 7, 2010, 9:14 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
