I think they had an idea of what they were gonna do with the sequel. It was Trinity that they obviously didn't know what they were doing in. Trinity was like "Blade and Friends". Also they managed to botch Dracula, which could have and should have made things more interesting. Blade's version of Dracula was rather dull, just as the whole movie was. -- Submitted By: () on March 27, 2015, 6:50 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

The first Blade was awesome. Blade 2 was an interesting attempt at the follow-up but they totally boned Sam Elliot's character, who I thought was one of the best parts of the first movie. First of all, I got the impression he died in the first movie. So they wanted to bring him back, okay. But there was no real explanation. It was just, 'okay, he didn't die'. He didn't become a vampire or anything. He just survived being torn to shreds. On top of that, afterwards it was like he was tranformed into Blade's silly sidekick instead of the respected badass mentor he was in the first movie. He acted goofy and was made fun of and bossed around by Blade. They would have been better off doing a prequil for part two and then doing part 3 where he meet's Elliot's character's daughter. (When I saw part 3 I was in a foreign country so I haven't seen it in English yet but it seemed good. I liked that they used Dracula as the bad guy. They did it very creatively). -- Submitted By: (ats3717) on August 16, 2009, 7:11 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I love blade. Watch this all the time. Is there a Blu-Ray version of the series? -- Submitted By: (Hikariu) on April 1, 2009, 7:47 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Blade II was just buckets and buckets of blood. -- Submitted By: (rick283) on March 29, 2009, 9:04 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The original Blade was quite cool, but I felt that the monsters in Blade II were overdone, and having Blade join forces with the vampires just seemed contrived. It could have been much more complex. -- Submitted By: (crispy) on March 28, 2009, 6:11 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
