Music Groups - Culture Club

Culture Club was a British pop group that formed in the early 1980s. The band consisted of Boy George (lead vocals), Mikey Craig (bass guitar), Roy Hay (guitar and keyboards), and Jon Moss (drums and percussion). From the time of the band's first album release in 1982 to its dissolution in 1986, Culture Club had amassed hits in several countries around the world, including ten Top 40 hits in the US, most of which went Top 10. They went on to have subsequent hits in the UK during a reunion period of 1998 through 2002, where they scored a #4 single and a #25 single. Culture Club have sold approximately 22 million albums worldwide

1 The War Song was really bad but they had a lot of really good ones, like Miss Me Blind, his singing was really very good. Boy George has always been a very quick witted riot, he still is, I love his interviews. And his staying power! -- Submitted By: (Em0411) on September 17, 2014, 1:19 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

3 I love most 80s music (particuarly the new wave stuff of the early-mid 80s), but this band just bugged the crap out of me. They had some catchy songs, but they annoyed me with their uber flamboyance. Do you really want to hurt me? Why, in fact Boy George, yes I do. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on July 20, 2012, 6:42 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
4 War is stupid....and people are stupid....and culture club was stupid.....sucked from the start. Never got them. A lot of my friends who hated them in the 80s have warmed up to them. I'm not on board. Maybe "Miss Me Blind" is passable, but anything else I'm not going to sit and listen to. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 20, 2012, 5:09 pm - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
5 Probably "The War Song". It speaks volumes for their third album that this so-so tune was the lead single. Plus what was up with the Japanese themes in their videos? -- Submitted By: (John63btf) on January 25, 2012, 6:49 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote

7 In 2004 I was 12 and became positively OBSESSED with Boy George/Culture Club. About a year later (and after spending every dime of my allowance on CC merch from eBay) I, of course, drifted. Now I'm 18, and I have come to enjoy the CC jams once again. I know people say the music is dated, but I really find it to be fresh even in 2010. Maybe not the classiest of bands, but had great tunes (even Waking Up with the House on Fire was a good album.) Their 1986 come back album, From Luxury to Heartache, was nothing to call home about, but in '99, they had their reunion album (Don't Mind if I Do) which I found to be quite good. Perhaps it's just the nastalgia talking, but Culture Club is one of the greastest bands of all time for me. -- Submitted By: (octogirlpretty) on October 18, 2010, 12:08 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
8 There's only one song of theirs I like considerably, and that was because it was featured in the game Saints Row 2 - Karma Chameleon. That aside...I never heard of Culture Club. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 14, 2010, 10:47 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
9 Survived on nothing but image for what? two or three albums, then fillet O sole. Had a few catchy tunes though. -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 8, 2010, 12:12 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
