1 Yeah a bunch of demons from hell turning good was just the antithesis of their purpose whenever they're summoned. Whenever they're summoned, they're not there to be a guidance or a helping hand. They're there to punish the hell out of people and give them tortures like in the first one. None of the sequels made sense and Hellraiser should not have even had one to begin with. -- Submitted By: (Infyrin) on April 23, 2015, 10:13 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 Just watched Hellraiser 2 this week- very solid sequel EXCEPT- when the Cenobites "turn good" when they see a picture of Pinhead as a human, then proceed to die in the worst fight ever- they just stand there and get killed while doing nothing- by the new Cenobite "Dr. Channard". Seeing the four of them just go out so fast with no fight, really took alot out of the rich coolness and powerful evil of those awesome villains. Boned. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on May 24, 2012, 4:18 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
3 Watched 1-6 so far and I can say I've like 'em all, at least to some extent. IMO this is one series that can go on pretty much forever since it doesn't require strong continuity (We've already seen more than 1 version of "the end," but then we can just go back in time and see someone totally unrelated picking up the box...); either you escape the cenobites or you don't, there ain't no killing 'em for good... To me, if there's something new to offer, they just need to make another one, it isn't a series that can really "bone the fish" definitively. -- Submitted By: (MrBriggsInc) on January 29, 2010, 10:40 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
4 I just rewatched the first Hellraiser Film, and it still kicks ass. This was typical of many horror franchises that have a great idea and are creative stand alone stories, then the sniff of $$$ hits the water and it is endless sequels that get worse and worse. At least we can pretend they dont exist after the first Hellraiser. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on June 4, 2009, 5:21 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
