Movie Series - Billy Jack series

The Billy Jack series began in 1969 with the film Born Losers. The film introduced Tom Laughlin as the half-Cherokee Indian Green Beret Vietnam war veteran Billy Jack. His troubles begin when he saves a man from the motorcycle gang "The Born Losers Motorcycle Club". The police arrest Billy Jack, lock him in prison, and treat him with hostility and suspicion. Meanwhile, the gang continues to terrorize people. Billy Jack was the 1971 film and focused on racial intolerance, especially towards native Americans. The Trial of Billy Jack was released in 1974, in which the titular character defends himself against a charge of involuntary manslaughter. Billy Jack Goes to Washington was released in 1977, and follows the Frank Capra film Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. This time, Billy Jack is a United States Senator filling out the remaining term for another Senator.

Billy Jack series Comments (You must Login to Comment)

1 Preachy, pretentious, hypocrisy-drenched garbage. Tom Laughlin's Ode to Himself, featuring his painfully ugly wife, a bunch of fake Indians, and lots of reeeeally bad acting. But some of the kung-fu scenes were passable, and I tend to take the Joe Bob Briggs approach of being easy on mindless crap movies when they feature decent gut-stomping and eyeball-removing scenes. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on May 7, 2011, 5:34 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
