Websites - BoneTheFish.com

Long story, short. TVGuide crushed a site that was near and dear to many viewers, and had us laughing daily. The powers that be at TV Guide decided: let's take a great community, a very interesting concept and a ton of valuable input and make it a redirect to a subdirectory of garbage that looks like a tabloid. That was the great demise of one of the greatest websites of all time, which unfortunately fell victim to its own namesake (which will not be named here, but we are sure you can figure it out)! We vowed to keep the spirit of "the site that shall never be named" alive in theme and spirit. That spirit was given a name in March of 2009- "Bone the Fish". This early time frame is when things can fall apart without the help of the fans - be it a movie series, tv show, celebrity or movie group. We value the opinions of our new fans and community, and we realize that people indeed want to vote on their favorite BTF moment. So take a minute, sign up for the new BTF revolution and comment and vote until your fingers are worn to the bone!

BoneTheFish.com Comments (You must Login to Comment)

I saw that we just got a new reason for Boning as "everything is turning into republican vs. democrat" BTF has tried to allow as many possible topics to be put on the site from Celebrities, TV Shows, Movie Series, Websites and Random Topics. Some of those are political (Obama, Bush etc.) and thus it encourages some sort of partisan argument. Also, some shows and or movies- Simpsons and Family guy come to mind- have made it a point (for better or worse) to become political, thus it is fair to say a political argument can come out of them as shows or media. As far as Bone the Fish goes, all non-spam commentary from any user of any political stripe is approved and put on the site, and no users are turned away or censored for their opinions. Also, I could buy into this topic if people were trying to put a political spin on something like "Leave it to Beaver" but I'm not seeing that. The political fights are here, but they seem to be in the proper place where it makes sense to have them. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on February 18, 2010, 5:41 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Dolfan: Thanks! Chubby Rain: I really hate IMDB. They boned the big bass by tolerating only votes and comments they agree with. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on February 12, 2010, 9:59 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I think the vote stuffing is just part of the natural evolution of the site, and is quite funny. Check out my hijinks at the IMDB page for the 2007 Flash gordon page, we have the admins so mad they delete anything that is negative" towards the show, there are whole threads that are One comment and 30 deleted comments, it says more than any negative comment, just like thousands of never boned votes with no comments shows how lame some of the topics really are- one person voting for it thousands of times (because they want everyone to like it and nobody does!!) Go Bone the Fish! -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on February 12, 2010, 5:20 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Robert, your last comment rocked so much that I as inspired to make a new vote category! Hope you like it :-) -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on February 12, 2010, 12:07 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Points I want to make: 1) I see you now need to log in to vote. Good show. That will hopefully keep the ballot stuffers in check. It was REALLY getting out of hand. 2) The "Fox Newsification" reason? What an effing joke. If you look at the Best of the Best section, (excluding Dawn Lyn reasons) most of the topics with astronomical amounts of "Day One" votes tend to be conservative/republican ones and most of the topics with astronomical amounts of "Never Boned" votes tend to be liberal/democratic ones. How is THAT "Fox Newsification"? While there are repubs who boned day one and dems who never boned, it's really ridiculous to vote day one just because the topic is republican, and never boned just because the topic is democratic. Ridiculous examples include ACLU and Jimmy Carter. As I write this, their top reasons are "Never Boned". Never boned, my ass. They definitely boned, but since they're dem/libby, someone found the need to either sit in front of the computer clicking Never Boned every 5 minutes all day long or use bots to drive the vote up. 3) Finally, I already criticized voting "never boned" for someone just because they're dem and "day one" just because they're rep. Likewise, I don't recommend voting "day one" for topics just because they're dems or voting "never boned" for topics just because they're reps. 4) Bone the Fish has not boned yet. I hope it never will. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on February 9, 2010, 1:24 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
If you think of a reason, nominate it, maybe some of the ballot stuffers will vote for it! -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on February 8, 2010, 3:50 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I don't know if I should put it up as a reason yet, but this left-wing "ballot stuffing" that's been going on is a real drag. I'd like to see results of what many people believe, not just one moonbat kook with too much spare time. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on February 8, 2010, 3:24 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Great site I have a blast on BTF. The comments are very witty and humorous at times. I like all the differing opinions on the various topics. -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 7, 2010, 9:49 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

So, keeping the below comments in mind, does that mean "Bone the Fish" will finally be as famous as that old Scottish Site? I hope so; we are tired of Wikipedia taking away that information on the "Scottish Site" article! -- Submitted By: (SVN) on February 4, 2010, 3:51 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

Hats off to all of the BTF users for kicking so much ass in their own ways. I know JTS gave an old cod bone about the people that made their site popular, the BTF users are what makes this site awesome. Thanks to everyone that makes it possible! Slaw and Vinegar for everyone!! And Shanequia's posts, while short and sweet, are hilarious. Her commentary and Brewmaster's are both always cutting, and honest! -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on February 3, 2010, 7:19 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Even if it's one of those navel-gazing blog deals, congratulations, shanequia, for having such outstanding posts as to get someone else's attention enough for them to consider you YouTube worthy material. I hope he/she respects you! I've always thought your posts were intriguing! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on February 3, 2010, 6:57 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

.......Shanequia and the site were mentioned in an actor's blog...... Thankfully by Thursday they had him back in doing BG again so at least he was working. Zack found a hilarious website called Bonethefish.com where you can post comments about when a show goes down or on random topics. Our favorite poster was someone called Shanequia. He would bring print outs of her comments and we were entertained for hours. Christiane wanted to find her on Facebook and be friends. She wanted to manage her and make a youtube video of her ranting out her opinions because it would make for an awesome stand-up routine -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on February 2, 2010, 12:16 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I see that a reason of "Fox-newsification" was set for BTF- while BTF has it's share of over the top conservative users, the liberal users are never edited or censored. I dont see that the site has a slant one way or another, despite what individual users who are free to point out what they want to may feel. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on February 1, 2010, 3:47 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Thank you for creating this website! I like laughing at peoples' rants about TV shows and more! It's too bad "The Scottish Site" went away, and that guilty website still hasn't done anything after a whole year! (And my favorite page? "Live Action Network" [Cartoon Network], of course! "Nick" was the old site; LAN [CN] is this one!) -- Submitted By: (SVN) on January 10, 2010, 8:49 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I see the whores at wikipedia took down the small link to www.bonethefish.com off the wiki page for the now shamed "site that shall not be named"- pathetic -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on January 6, 2010, 3:35 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
