Random Topics - 9/11 Truth Movement

9/11 Truth movement is the collective name of loosely affiliated organizations and individuals who question the mainstream account of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Adherents of the movement discuss different hypotheses about how the attacks happened and call for a new investigation into the attacks. Some of the organizations state that there is evidence that the United States government may have been either responsible for or knowingly complicit in the September 11 attacks. Motives given include the use of the attacks to initiate the launch of wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and in creating the opportunities to curtail civil liberties. Members of the movement are often referred to by opponents as "truthers," "conspiracy theorists," occasionally as "9/11 deniers," and by neutral and sympathetic writers as "9/11 skeptics." Members of the movement hold diverse views on other political issues.

1 Truthers and birthers: two sides of the same retarded coin. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on April 20, 2011, 12:45 pm - (5 votes) - Login to Vote
2 These people also say that George W. Bush is a borderline-retarded, gibbering buffoon while simultaneously claiming he is also a Machiavellian genius strategist to be able to pull off such a plot. Uh, he can't be BOTH things, guys. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on January 1, 2011, 5:47 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
3 Robert, didn't you know Al Qaeda was in on it and Bush paid them off to claim responsibility just to throw everyone off the trail of the REAL culprit? LOL Oh, and to the troll, Rather actually DID make up stuff about Bush, producing some "incriminating" documents that actually turned out to have been made in the early 70s. Unlike the 911 conspiracy this is the TRUTH. That's why he's no longer working for any major news network. But you can still catch him on HDNet, probably still blaming Bush for everything. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on December 31, 2010, 12:32 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
4 Oh gawd...hey DolFan--speaking of 'conspiracy theories'--yours involving Dan Rather is pretty lulzworthy itself, lol. -- Submitted By: (elainewood) on December 30, 2010, 11:10 am - (-4 votes) - Login to Vote
5 I sometimes think the "birthers" movement is a satire against the 9/11 truth movement. If it isn't, at least they accuse Obama of something far less horrible than what Bush is being accused of. Also, if Bush orchestrated 9/11, why would Al-Qaida accept responsibility for the attacks? -- Submitted By: (Robert) on December 30, 2010, 9:33 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
6 I wouldn't really blame the liberal media on the whole thing, since I've seen conservatives (such as Alex Jones and Mark Dice) who are just as vocal. While I do think that Bush and Clinton let it slide between 1993 and 2001, I just don't think they'd be capable of setting 9/11 up. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on December 29, 2010, 2:47 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
7 The REAL "truth" is that the liberal media hated Bush so much they intentionally brainwashed the rest of America into thinking he was not only the worst president ever, but genuinely evil to the point of being compared to Hitler. Dan Rather hated him so much he literally ruined his career just to MAKE UP stuff about Bush. Remember, this is the guy who was accused of somehow steering Hurricane Katrina towards New Orleans specifically to wipe out the black population there. (Shakes head.) And this movement is so laughably absurd even the MEDIA never got on board, think about THAT for a minute. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on December 29, 2010, 12:37 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
8 It's actually pretty disgusting to assume that just because you disagree with someone's politics, that they would actually be evil enough to oversee the death of thousands of fellow Americans just to get into a war. Are people even thinking before they speak anymore? When did politics become so tainted. I don't care if you think George Bush was a terrible president, stupid etc, but to think something like that is just pathetic. -- Submitted By: (phil610) on December 26, 2010, 9:33 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
9 I think that the biggest problem that I have with most 9/11 truthers is that they say that they support free speech, but whenever somebody says that they don't think the government did 9/11, they almost always throw a major fit. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on July 9, 2010, 11:10 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
10 Seeing that more people believe that Jews were behind 9/11 reinforces my belief that people are mostly mindless sheep that are easily led. Whatever garbage the mass media spoon-feeds them, they accept with open arms. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on June 22, 2010, 2:17 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
11 *facepalm* Oh good God! WHY?! -- Submitted By: (johnnydough) on June 13, 2010, 6:25 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
12 I checked google to see for myself. I am sad to report that the results for me matched the results for Travoltron. It makes me remember one of my Jewish friends telling me that Jews were the most persecuted people throughout history. Thanks to people who blame Jews for 9/11, it seems that history is doomed to repeat itself forever. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on June 12, 2010, 12:52 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
13 The 9/11 "truth" proponents give legitimate skeptics a bad name, and, ultimately lend comfort to the supposed Big Brother or Illuminati (whatever) by making genuine skepticism synonymous with a crackpot movement. http://www.skeptic.com/eskeptic/06-09-11/ Back in the cold war era, Project Blue Book was essentially launched to address the UFO fad because there was a real concern that credible sightings of enemy aircraft could be confused with the trendy sightings of "Martian Saucers". Wolf! Wolf! Wolf! The reality about 9/11 is a horribly tragic but pretty straight forward case of mass murder by a determined terror cell. -- Submitted By: (baldrick) on June 12, 2010, 12:00 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
14 Why is it that it's okay to blame 9/11 on everyone EXCEPT those that actually did it? Political correctness? Right now on Google you get 414,000 hits for "Jews did 9/11" and only 53,500 for "Muslims did 9/11". -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on June 11, 2010, 3:42 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
15 Just read what Maddox said about it. That is all. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on May 3, 2010, 2:27 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
16 The 1993 attack was a warning, but it was ignored. Nobody knows for sure who dropped the ball and gave al-Qaida the window of opportunity on 9/11, but the 9/11 Truth Movement's conspiracy theorists are nuttier than Planters products. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on April 27, 2010, 8:58 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
17 Agreed. Worst case, the Bush administration let it slide, so they could get their war in for their buddies, but even then, some of the stuff the 9/11 "Truth" Movement throw out there, you can't help but laugh -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on April 26, 2010, 10:10 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
18 While I honestly don't believe the Bush administration would have hesitated to murder innocents if they had something to gain and knew they could get away with it, there's just no evidence or logic to support this supposed "truth" movement. All their arguments have been soundly debunked time and time again. -- Submitted By: (Hanglyman) on April 26, 2010, 2:45 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
19 Basically, their message is: There are no such things as terrorists. And according to Rosie O'Donnell, heat doesn't melt metal. If you watch a metalsmith working, why does he use a furnace? -- Submitted By: (Robert) on April 25, 2010, 7:35 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
20 How can you not believe in this vast conspiracy when it is exposed by such intellectual titans as Rosie O'Donnell, Cynthia McKinney, Ed Asner, and Charlie Sheen? -- Submitted By: (BrewMaster) on December 3, 2009, 7:48 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
